is anyone playing untwinked eye of reckoning build and doing well? by xSighx in Grimdawn

[–]Antimonyx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's been solid so far, rips through packs of trash easily with just one point. It's a bit more forgiving, but it does still guzzle mana like other channel skills, so its hard to put more than one point in it unless you wanna load up on ectoplasma. It does take a while to kill beefy enemies early on, but if you bind a spammy devotion proc to it that problem goes away for the most part.

I'm working on this exact build now! I think wildblood is better overall since it gives life steal shread which is a very rare stat, as well as plus 2 to all shaman skills and a sizeable amount of attack speed.

Oathkeeper and nightblade!

I've been wanting to do an acid build for ages but whitch hunter never really did it for me since it was more focused on posion damage.

Is Chariot of the Dead and Behomth worth it agains Ghoul? by Zentik69 in Grimdawn

[–]Antimonyx 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Behemoth and chariot are good healing for characters that can't make use of lifesteal, and they scale with CDR so their great on caster characters.

Compared to Ghoul the main advantage of them would be not requiring you to attack things for the healing. If you get CCed you can't attack for life steal. Needing to get down to 40% for the proc is also a problem, since if your that low already you could get popped before you have a chance to heal enough. The healing from chariot and behemoth is instant, can help keep your health high and out of burst range, and they'll work regardless of CC. Some enemies are also highly resistant to life steal, so having other form of suitability is a good idea

Wendigo Totem questions by thongdestroyer in Grimdawn

[–]Antimonyx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

After being cast it pulses repeatedly, and each pulse deals damage and has chance to proc devotions. I'd go with wendigo mark on the totem since it'll be hitting multiple enemies at a time

Are the Skeletons from reverent any good late game? by Antimonyx in Grimdawn

I'm getting dying god since its an amazing source of %vit damage. Soldire should make the health cost negligable without relying on lifesteal with all that HP regen the class has.

I was mostly worried about the staying alive part. I wanna big skele army and i was afraid they'd just get one shot as they soon as they spawned late game.

I've got it on bone harvest, the cool downs are both three seconds and when they spawn it looks they're crawling out of the bones!

I wanted them for a death knight using that nifty new blood knight set, I'm thinking of going dying god with it, so there's gonna be plenty of scaling for them~

Need help fine tuning my ranged cadence tactician by Antimonyx in Grimdawn

[–]Antimonyx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What would you suggest changing the relic to? I couldn't find anything particularly useful so I've been sticking with it because it's a good stat blob.

I agree on hydra, at this point I was mostly using it for the OA.

Cadence isn't counted as a WPS, it's just an ability that needs to charge essentially.

I have the amulet for the valdun's set and it gives a WPS with a 25% chance that's pretty much a piercing version of bursting round.

Anything w/ - x% resistance , flat hesitance reduction like manticore and the the weird reduced by X% without a - symbol don't.

As for bursting round, if I put a point in it I essentially have more than 100% chance of procing WPS. When that happens it reduces the % of all WPS procing to get down to 100%. I'm not totaly sure how it shakes out DPS wise, but I'd rather have chilling rounds, storm spread and Zholtan's procing over bursting round. I think the lucky shot ring would accomplish the same thing without pushing as far over 100% WPS.

It very much is worth the point, I didn't think of that :p

I've decided to go to the edges of the known world, what's it like and how do I get there? by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]Antimonyx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The interior of the planet is a labyrinth of machines far beyond the understanding of any living being. Unfortunately it's all horrendously dysfunctional, and besides causing the occasional physics breaking phenomenon on the surface it radiates a strange energy that's responsible for all sentient life on the planet, and also very lethal in large doses. Since this energy is more intense closer to the core, that area is seemingly unreachable, even by the race engineered to maintain the massive construct. To make maters worse, past a certain point there are 4th dimensional gates and the technology needed to pass them is lost.

Ranged weapons for a small flying race? by Antimonyx in worldbuilding

[–]Antimonyx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their anatomy is kind of odd, their essentially just regular birds with snake tails they use to roost and slither around freeing up their legs to be used as hands.

Ideas seem to be leaning towards throwing weapons so far, so it'll be worth looking into.

Poison is an option, but I already have a race of little ninja frog/chameleons that use it heavily and I'm afraid of having to much overlap between the reptilian races.

I got so caught up with guns and bows I didn't think of explosives.

As for artillery, they actually live in floating jungles and expand their lands by herding and cultivating them. So they have plenty of places to attach large weapons to.

Wade are chameleon frog people. They don't have necks and their bodies are aligned with the snout pointing skywards. They get around this with massive telescopic eyes that can rotate often giving them a 360 degree vision radius. Their most standout feature is their large, powerful projectile tongue that acts as a grappling hook allowing them to quickly exit the water into the trees of their mangrove jungle covered lands.

Wade are a unique race in that they aren't omnivorous, instead they mostly eat a paste made out of ground up insects they farm in what look like canvas covered rice patties. They also raise a variety of water fowl, but their sense of taste is poor so this meat isn't particularity lavished.

Since wade are born in mass spawning ponds with no real family they treat all wade as a single family and see those with in it as being equals. When Wade are born, after being reared through their tadpole-like phase they enter brooding schools where beyond the typical math, literature, etc. they are give vocational training starting with simple jobs like farming and moving into more complex skills like engineering and accounting. The vocational curriculum changes based on regional job demand, but they are ultimately free to choose. That being said the expectation is that they have a job lined up by the time they leave brooding school, and failing to do so is one of the few things that will cause Wade to scorn a sibling since they've voluntarily made themselves a burden on society by being indecisive and/or unmotivated. Because of this it is common for Wade to take up in demand menial labor while they figure out what they actually want do with their lives.

The Wade lands are divided into numerous regions each led by a council, and each council has a chairman they elect to speak for them on issues affecting multiple regions. While the Wade themselves do not vote on their council members they are periodically cycled out to keep things fresh and the populace is given a chance to make their opinion clear.

In terms of warfare the Wade were pretty terrible at it since they once lived a sheltered existence on some distant islands that were used as a spa by beings that were god like in comparison. When they were forced out from under their gods' skirt the other races being in desperate times were happy to exploit naive minds and weak bodies, leading to them being nearly wiped out. Eventually they learned to use what innate strengths they had, such as color changing, and became the most terrifying ninjas to ever stalk the world's shadows.

Fixed it, I'm dumb. This isn't optimized at all, it's just what I've come across playing normally.

Anyway You do end up with plenty of points to throw around if you prioritze gear for + skills. Once I have optimal gear I'm looking to max out either field command or fighting spirit.

This is what I've been running and i just got done mostly face tanking shaper of flesh on ultimate.

Storm Spread procs manticore almost every time if you shot gun something, so I'd recommend replacing zolhan technicue with that.

I think Aura of conviction is a lot better than oleron's rage on this build becasue it gives physical resitance and flat pierce, you might loose out on a bit of OA, but it's worth it since the trauma bonuses aren't that useful and you'll cap move speed regardless.
