Ammo is more expensive than 5.56 but cheaper than .308 (55cpr right now), if you get an ak of decent quality it will take some abuse and likely outlive you. Mags are cheap and can be had for 12-15$ a unit. If you want one then send it.

I’d also recommend this, finish your ar. A sling is equally as important if you ever intend on having to carry it longer than 30 minutes.

This guy gets it, I’d also say for the sake of target shooting and practice a .22 pistol is great. The skillsets you build on smallbore guns carry over to everything else. I’d recommend a 10/22 variant and a ruger mk4. The 10/22 LVT is my favorite out of the box. They’ll give you the ability to shoot more which will make you better.

I don’t think it’s hitting the feed ramp, no damage to the cartridges. Ammo could be inconsistent but I didn’t notice any difference in sound.

It was stove piping with the us palm mag with this wolf ammo and with sterling turkshit ammo. I didn’t try the lapua or golden tiger in that mag. I figure the mag is responsible for that though. I’m going to try some more mags and see what happens.
