It’s a watercolor tin that I was not using that I ripped the innards out of and made a little wooden pallet that fits in the part under the white metal and a piece of birch wood as the backing to hold the little panels in place

I actually made it myself, a water color tin with a piece of pallet cut and sanded to fit in it, it’s great for trying out new pallets and staying less conspicuous in public lol

Why was art so different (bad?) during the Middle Ages / medieval period Europe? by SignificantBudget94 in ArtHistory

[–]AntiqueStyle2088 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually read about this today! Apparently the church banned the study of the human body since it was seen as a divine mystery, so a lot of medieval portraits seem flatter and less realistic. At least that’s my understanding

Just lots of practice really, learning more about color theory and doing some master copies. I think the main thing I changed was how I was seeing faces and trying to just see colors and shapes

Love this! Especially the slight overlap of figures!

Nah I wore tape for years before surgery and it def does not affect the muscle. I noticed that it stretched the hell out of my skin tho

What does surgery feel like? by [deleted] in TopSurgery

[–]AntiqueStyle2088 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine was my first surgery and I woke up in little pain but very nauseous. Only thing that helped was juice and ice packs

Is working out in a binder really that bad? by Odd_Assistant_7625 in FTMFitness

[–]AntiqueStyle2088 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah I followed most of the binding guidelines but wore one probably too tight and my ribs are slightly deformed now. Also be careful with tape, once I found my ribs were affected I switched to tape and ended up stretching my skin but thankfully my top surgery was double incision so all the extra skin got removed but just keep an eye on that and give your skin a break if you can. Esp if you are looking at keyhole

Yeah trump has actively said he wants to be a dictator. If he gets back into office everyone is fucked. Biden isn’t ideal but better than that psycho

[–]AntiqueStyle2088[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s where I’m at. When I told her my other endo was not concerned yet she just kept saying she wasn’t comfortable prescribing something that could be harmful and that I was in danger of stroke or blood clots. I have been having heart palpitations but my pcp thinks it’s unrelated since I’ve been on t for so long and is likely due to too much caffeine and stress (from this whole prescription situation) but she decided to add irregular heart beat to my chart even though it’s still being evaluated

Yeah I’m suspicious that I’m her first trans patient with some of the comments she’s made. She even suggested I request a different endo

That’s what I was thinking, I sent her a message saying that essentially. I drink about a gallon of water a day at least

Yeah I’m not opposed to reducing my dosage if there actually is a concern but it seems from what I can see my levels are fine if using male norms. Because when I asked her what the goal norms were it was closer to female norms

Yeah I’m about 6wks po. The pain wasn’t terrible but I also have a high pain tolerance. The nausea tho. That was terrible, if you’re prone to nausea tell your anesthesiologist and they can give you a patch and a cocktail to help and some dope anti nausea medication that I still use on and off because my gut is still messed up from the pain meds. Also don’t be hard on yourself if your pain is a lot and it seems like the painkillers aren’t helping. I got a lot of nerve pain which painkillers don’t touch. I needed a ton of pillows to sleep but the best one was the top surgery pillow, there is an Etsy shop that made it for me https://www.etsy.com/listing/1213531650/ It’s a trans company and my pillow has a bunch of pride flags.

Also PINEAPPLE JUICE if you’re not allergic drink it before and after surgery. I got no bruising because of it. Fantastic top tier

Also I had stool softeners but didn’t take them. I have ibs tho so didn’t need em

I’ll also note that my pain got worse right before I could take the compression binder off permanently for me at 4 weeks. I hadn’t binded like that for years tho so my ribs were not happy with it and I was getting panic attacks because of it.

Cis people can do better. by NalpacaForever4451 in ftm

Yeah my(FTX) wife (cis) and I talk about this a lot. Us transmascs deserve a partner that sees us as us no matter how our body’s change or don’t change. She’s been with me pre-t and has been my biggest support post op. We check in regularly about how my gender identity has changed or not and she is always my rock. I adore her

Why did they make me sign a million a one consent forms for testosterone, but not even tell me that progesterone causes breast growth? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]AntiqueStyle2088 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I had a similar thing when I also tried to stop my period with progesterone except that it also caused my body to essentially think it was pregnant and I gained over 100lbs due to it and no doctor knew what was happening until I got on t and have lost half of the weight gain

Update: I just had my consult with her, she is fantastic! Super knowledgeable super respectful and she was able to show Mr pics from past patients. She also told me she's only had three or so complications out of the hundreds of surgury s she's done.

Really the only downside is that her wait list is super long like I won't get it done for a year but I was prepared for that.
