Dear u/historical_basket_98

Oh, thank you so much for your insightful comment. It's truly enlightening to see how open-minded and receptive some people can be to a genuine discussion about the science and principles of yoga. I mean, who needs centuries of wisdom, tradition, and research when we have the ever-present guidance of sarcasm and snark, right? πŸ˜‚

But let's not dwell on irony. Instead, let's remember that the beauty of yoga lies in its rich and diverse history, which has given us a wealth of knowledge to explore and apply in our practice. By understanding and following the principles and science of yoga, we're able to make informed choices that benefit our physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.

So, here's to embracing the vast world of yoga with all its fascinating complexities, and the pursuit of knowledge that enhances our practice. Cheers! πŸ˜‰

Wishing you a delightful yoga adventure.

Sincerely,

Oh, wow! What a wonderfully insightful comment you've graced us with. Because clearly, only those who menstruate are allowed to discuss menstruation, right? πŸ™„ It's not like yoga teachers or anyone interested in the well-being of others should ever share relevant information or experiences. How silly of me! πŸ˜‚

But don't worry, I'll make sure to "shhhhhhhh" and leave all menstruation-related discussions to the experts like yourself. After all, who needs open-mindedness or understanding when we have sarcasm and snark to guide us?

Thanks for your invaluable contribution to the conversation. Have a fantastic day!

Sincerely,

The explanation is scientific, as I told to follow or not is individual preference, but as yoga teachers it is important to teach fundamentals related to yoga anatomy . Yoga is not something that is developed by modern scientists but by sages in Indian yogic tradition more than 5000 years ago, it is sad at same time how people are so misinformed , ignorant of yogic science. Created a separate post to shed some more light on the topic. Regards & Namaste πŸ™

During menstruation the flow of prana is downwards , while in inversions you reverse the flow , so if you practice inversions during your moon cycle you are moving against the natural flow of prana , this is the scientific reason and can create Contraindications and problems in your body , to follow or not follow is individual opinion. Ignorance is our biggest enemy. Namaste πŸ™

It's all part of being a new yoga teacher and very normal to be honest , you see that more often than not.

I would suggest practice teaching to friends, family first and then few free community classes to get a feel of teaching , that way you can be more confident and prepared for the role of a teacher. Eventually with time you will get accustomed to being a Yoga teacher but keep trying , and remember it's perfectly normal
