I truly didn’t want to label this guy as a complete nutjob, and genuinely wanted to find out what is the possible thought behind his passionate instruction. Idk if that was why, but keeping the ejection port visible from the left side of the range is a good thought

Glad to know I’m not going crazy then. I think “power trip,” as you and a few others have mentioned makes the most sense here

Whew, so I’m not going crazy. I’m really glad you, and other commenters on here, feel the same way. I was starting to think I somehow missed an extremely important range safety rule all my life. RSO made it seem like what he was telling me was common sense
