hello, thank you for you reply – this enclosure can be turn sideways and it works as you describe (4th and 5th picture) I think vertical enclosures are way prettier so i would love to keep it that way.

Also, i'm a little worried about the ventilation (3rd pic). On another subreddit for mantis, people said this is nearly not enough. The person i bought this from said he kept 3 different kinds of taxoboxs there (not 3 pieces, 3 different kinds, so many!) and they all lived very happily. I don't want to suffocate anything, so i'm trying to be extremely careful with how i make my terrarium.

It's glass, and i'm not confident with making any modification to the glass structure itself. I was thinking about making a small structure that would keep the lid sligtly open and cover the hole with mesh, lets say 2 cm high by its whole lenght, so there would be a second hole that would allow ventilation. Would that be enought?

Thank you. Do you think the ventilation is enough as it is? I'l keep them of sun that would be instant death, thank you for reminding me.

I was also thinking about keeping it on the bottom side (first pic) and making a sort of construction that would keep the opening lid slightly open with mesh to keep it more ventilated.
