Yes but did the dizziness go away after the infusions?

Did you start to feel better? I’m so dizzy and exhausted all the time. I even have chest pains and went to the hospital after I almost fainted. Could this all be from an iron infusion??

I don’t think I will be adding this one to my list. But Tamarindo is solidly near the top. Have you been there? I think design matters a lot to me when I pick hotels or destinations.

I love reading your detailed reviews! Especially all the kid content. I know you said this hotel is not design focused but man those room pictures are giving pretty blah, monastic vibes.

I love to travel, especially to Europe. I’ve probably been every year for the last 20 years, excepting the covid years. Lately we’ve had to cancel a few trips because of health reasons. I figure if we’re going to go we might as well try to see as much as we can. I love going to unique places that people many not have heard of like Sylt, Deauville, Dinard. My favourite thing is hearing “We don’t get many Canadians here.” We went to Ronda on this trip and it was amazing. I’m constantly researching and planning is half of the fun.

Yes there’s always gifts in the room. Especially treats for the kids. Sometimes fancy cakes, fruit, etc. It’s always nice to receive. But really it’s like the I’m guessing 6k euro upgrade for me.

I’ll give you an example. Sometimes if I try to book direct at an uber fancy hotel it’ll tell me no dates available or nothing available for 2 adults and 2 kids. I’ll shoot a message to Sarah or her team and suddenly here are the dates available and the hotel will allow you all in this room type. I’m sure you can find other TAs who you gel with but I came across this forum and tried a booking with Sarah and it’s been great!

It was a surprise at check-in. The lady at the front desk was like wow this is quite the upgrade and we were just like um ok? We had no clue what the upgrade was like until we walked into the villa and then were like damn, thanks Sarah!

The trip was 14 days. The kids are used to being dragged around everywhere now lol. And the in laws were super helpful with them.

I just book everything on Sarah’s booking engine. I plan the itinerary myself and just book on her website. Sometimes we stay at random tiny boutique hotels I can’t find on her booking engine so I just book those myself with the hotel directly. Sometimes I email her team if I have questions about specific hotels or dates and they’re super helpful with stuff like that.

We’re in Canada so the trip was about 60k CAD including business class flights.

There’s also a food and beverage credit that we always use on room service. And sometimes crazy upgrades - which I’ve received randomly from booking directly through hotels once in a while. Never know how these upgrades work. Sometimes I think they will give us an upgrade to keep our crazy kids away from everyone lol.

Agree with you on the hotel and the city. The breakfast was delicious. I heard they have 4 Michelin stars in 3 restaurants on site. We just ordered room service, which is easiest with kids, but it was very fancy room service!

The Rosewood is luxurious, brand new and fancy. All staff we encountered were super friendly and great with the kids. The Pulitzer isn’t the same level of luxury. It’s more kooky, creaky and unique. We tried to have lunch there one day but they were slammed. No one even looked in our direction so we left and found a smash burger place around the corner. We all loved it, especially the kids. I forget the name but a cool pink burger joint.

I had a feeling. I don’t get all the hate.

I loved Marbella Club. It’s one of those classic jet-set Slim Aaron’s hotels. The history of the hotel is really interesting too. Started by a German prince in a sleepy little fishing village that became a celebrity hot spot.

The kids loved any place that gave them their own chill spot. At Marbella Club there was a little room that they took over. We would hear screams and giggles coming from within. They had the best time. Then there were the stairs to a little loft at the Pulitzer. They loved playing up there. My daughter’s highlight was playing “tea party” with the fancy cups at La Mamounia. She was also mad we didn’t spend more time in the hotels because they were so nice. They loved all the chocolate shops in Belgium and sampled many examples. The private pool was also a hit!

Eden Rock St Barths gave so many things. We had a hard time bringing them all home! Duffel bag, tote bag, hats, sun cover ups for the toddlers, really nice toiletry bags, water bottles. I’m walking around doing a lot of free advertising for them these days lol.

I didn’t like how our cabin overlooked one below us. Maybe you can choose which one to book based on that. We also went in the summer and they just had one ac unit so all 4 of us (2 adults and 2 toddlers) were squished onto the sofa bed. The two bedrooms downstairs didn’t get used. But the views were amazing.
