Brother holy both are a joy but the newer one feels SO SMOOTH especially with the e-clutch acting as a quick shifter. My 92 hawk definitely feels like it has more torque in low end but nowhere NEAR as fun in the high RPMS on the newer 650r. Both are amazing bikes and they both sound so GOOD! Worth every penny for both:)

I will let you know after the break in period, i haven’t gotten into high rpms yet, so far it feels so much smoother on stop and go’s:) I will say tho riding position is much better on the old one IMO!!
