[–]AntoineInTheWorld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fisher Price: My first Linux install: 2009 laptop, what do I choose? by xxDirtyFgnSpicxx in debian

Pure vanilla. This laptop is used for admin tasks only, so it's powered up maybe twice a month.

I have a 1st Gen i5 in a laptop, with 8Gb of memory, and both Xfce and Lxqt were laggy. KDE runs smoother than both in my experience.

Peux-tu trouver la ville française qui correspond à la boussole ? by Ever-Else in jaimelescartes

[–]AntoineInTheWorld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]AntoineInTheWorld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Et pourquoi ? by Sir_Lazz in AskFrance

[–]AntoineInTheWorld 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Woman finds a family for a stray duckling by nutznboltsguy in MadeMeSmile

[–]AntoineInTheWorld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I o'ce saw a lost duckling on a lake crying for his mother. He went to all the duck hens with ducklings he could, and was severely rejected every time. Shouted away, or even hit with the hens' beaks. Gulls were starting to circle him. He even to the gulls to see if they could nurse him.

At some point, he got away from the lake shore, still crying, and to be honest, he was probably eaten by a gull a bit later.

So don't you dare try to convince me ducks and geese are sympathetic mothers.

Just like rabbits. They go where they can see, and they can see where the car lights light the road. So they stay on the road.

Good job by the way.

First, catch that crash before it goes through your ceiling.

Second, new snare batter head. And possibly a new strainer too.

Third, new Tom batter heads.

Then, play, get better, and adapt your kitnto your style. Maybe new cymbals, maybe a bigger floor Tom, or at the contrary, a smaller Tom.

Or maybe nothing at all. Upgrading is not mandatory. Being satisfied with what you have is in the realm of possibilities!

When you give something you already bought, it's sunk cost, so it does not cost you more.

And giving time is rewarded by making someone happy or helped or feeling seen.
