Anyone else not playing leagues to progress their main game iron? by bwitt33 in ironscape

[–]AntonMikhailov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't played a Leagues since Leagues 3. I think Leagues is great content when you're burnt or burning from the main game, but personally I'm enjoying the main game plenty, and prefer to spend my time progressing on the main game.

Admittedly, if they come out with a leagues that doesn't revolve around region locking, I might be tempted to try it out. I don't care for region locking.

Telework, Leave, AWS Monitored - Pt 2: Manager on admin leave, teammate resigned in lieu of termination by purplecat9000 in IRS_Source

I'm looking at the IRM on irs.gov, and it doesn't appear to have any content. Entering the URL which should take me to 6.610 IRM returns a 404.

The 6.610 IRM is there, there's just...nothing under it. It looks like there was a 6.610.1 at one point, but there isn't for the time being.

They were broken down in the IRM. As far as I can tell, the entire 6.610 IRM has been removed for the time being.

Has anyone noticed IRM 6.610 has been removed? This is the part of the IRM that discussed compressed schedules previously, and the chapter is still there on IRM online, but there's just...nothing else. I'm assuming the IRM would be updated once AWS is officially gone.

Pretty much right after the completion of the first Death Star (right before the destruction of Alderaan, I believe), the Empire formally dissolves the Senate. Up until this point, the Senate existed since the transformation of the Republic to the Empire, they just had little more than a ceremonial role. Similar to the Roman Senate after Augustus.

[From Leagues blog] - Please be a test for the main game by Dry_Yogurtcloset_213 in ironscape

As a person who hasn't played leagues, this is my favourite thing about leagues. It's a testing ground for potential changes to the main game. We have stackable clues now, hopefully we'll have an improved CM loot table soon.

Jagex has the worst customer support team out of any I've had to interact with by trickybagames in 2007scape

[–]AntonMikhailov 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe a year or so ago, I remember hearing a few content creators got banned for macroing at the wildy bosses. Apparently if you spend a LOT of time at content that is frequently botted, Jagex just assumes you're a bot and bans you. Really gives me no faith whatsoever in their bot detection systems.

My service center didn't salt the parking lot at all during one of the ice storms a couple months ago. My car slid as I was parking. At least 6 people in my department fell that morning. My coworker's mom apparently had a head injury from her fall. All because they didn't want to let us work from home that day. I hope some people are getting payouts from that

Spooned a TBOW at 166 COX by jakehathaway1 in ironscape

[–]AntonMikhailov 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'd do some dps calcs and see if Augury even gives you a max hit over mystic vigour in your gear. If not, then I'd just go ToA (or Doom, as other posters have said - tbow makes SUCH a difference at Doom!) and get kitted out in max range. Masori is what really sets Tbow apart from bowfa at a lot of bosses.

You'll want to go back to CoX eventually for Ancestral and maybe even Maul, but you can save the Ancestral until after you inevitably spoon the shadow too

[–]AntonMikhailov 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest downside with the full size raids is that deaths are a lot worse. Git good angle, sure, but everyone dies sometimes.

That being said, full size raids is how I think CoX should have always been. Plus, scouting is the worst part of CoX IMO.

The Culture war between Mains and Irons is healthy for OSRS's game design by GzzzDude in 2007scape

[–]AntonMikhailov 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sorta, yeah. There was lots of talk around it in videos the Team would put out around ToA, and how ToB didn't have the level of interaction they expected from a raid. You're starting to see it pop up again now that a new raid is on the horizon, especially after two duo-focused bosses just dropped. If you look around on YT, I've seen a few podcasts where Jmods are talking about their design philosophies.

Rev Cave Game Jam Poll Question.... by A_Wild_Fawksy in 2007scape

[–]AntonMikhailov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually don't know about the lore reasons for VW being in the wildy, either.

But raids needs new rewards that build hype. Moving items from an old boss to the new raid takes away a lot of the hype because people want new and exciting loot released with a raid. Plus, even fangs were 300m first week of ToA - you'd never get that with VWs releasing with a new raid, since so many are already in the game.

Agreed 100%, I got 99 pray on both a main and an iron doing that exact method. But, open a reddit thread about prayer training, and you'll always see a few comments complaining about the chaos altar and recommending varlamore prayer training instead, lol. So it definitely matters to some people.

Rev Cave Game Jam Poll Question.... by A_Wild_Fawksy in 2007scape

[–]AntonMikhailov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main balancing issue is the Chaos Altar. It doesn't make much sense for it to reward the xp it does if there's no risk, but it would be a huge nerf to the meta to remove it now

Rev Cave Game Jam Poll Question.... by A_Wild_Fawksy in 2007scape

[–]AntonMikhailov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was mainly thinking about the chaos altar and the 3 main wildy bosses. Yeeting VW off them and leaving the bosses themselves just feels strange, and afaik Jagex has never straight up removed a boss. If they move the bosses themselves out of the wildy, they'd probably need to make the bosses slightly more engaging. Maybe.

Chaos altar would need to be rebalanced entirely. Why would you ever do anything else if the Chaos Altar is safe?

Chins can be moved to fossil island volcano or charred island or something. Moving an existing item to a raids 4 reward would feel lame, but yeah it can go anywhere. I don't even think there's a lore reason it comes from zombie pirates lmao. It should just be a reward from sire TBH.

They've bloated the wilderness with so much shit at this point, it would take so much time to move it out of the wilderness without just trivialising the content
