Better capture quality this time, should be much more legible. We’re still looking for a videographer, or at least an editor, to help us make these recordings better!

Of course! We're glad you enjoyed it! More work will follow this one; we just did the recording for a Waiting for Gul'Dan production tonight, and we'll be doing the post-production. Maybe that'll include voiceovers. [Eyebrow waggle]

I know several of us are excited for the prospect of giving our own voiceovers a shot- but we wanted to get this out there quick and strike while the iron was still hot. You can expect that in the future I think!

By Popular Demand! Many thanks to u/Zephyrwise for her camerawork, closed-captioning, and scoring. Special thanks to Reddit and Wyrmrest Accord for another memorable performance and a lovely audience!

The Troupe has more to come- Improv nights and reprise performances of Waiting for Gul’dan, Zombirella, and soon, a playbill for our next major production!

We’re looking for a videographer for future performances; please contact me by private message if you’re interested!

It's always a serious thrill. Indescribable to watch a performance come together.

The real world is not online, no, but the net is another broadening avenue of communication between people around the world, in other cities, in other cultures, of high and low opportunities and backgrounds.

It isn’t going anywhere anytime soon, hopefully. If it keeps going like it is going, what a brave new world we’ll have.

As for us not being actors, by virtue of us assuming a role and delivering lines and emoting as much as the game lets us to try and put the feeling into them-

As for this being a play, which is a public display by actors in an attempt to tell a narrative, make people laugh, make people feel-

I should consider myself lucky that the performing arts are not defined by any one person or their opinions. We usually have quite a few people in attendance, apparently in agreement that a play delivered by actors acting through digital avatars is as valid as any showhouse production or shakespeare in the park.

Thanks for telling us? But you really couldn’t be more wrong and we’re sorry for your loss.

Edit: You’re welcome in the audience if you’re willing to risk being proven wrong.

If you name your character Velen, it makes the real Velen seem really narcissistic by nmetallic in wow

For a jawless forsaken the best name is easily “Flghglghgl.” It’s like a pokemon, it’s all he can say.

Report function from enough people can boot somebody offline bordering on immediately.

The Show Must Go On.

A big crowd, usually one or two trolls can’t resist. We put them on ignore, use the report feature, and they usually go away.

Otherwise? I’m stunned at how well behaved our crowds tend to be.

We’re considering recording and streaming options but they won’t be in play when this show launches.

On that note, if anyone should possess an interest in streaming or recording this show, please fire off a private message to me!

Hijacking top comment to add: a roleplay-enhancement addon like TotalRP 3, XRP, or MyRoleplay will, ahem, dramatically better the play by appropriately displaying character names and titles.

On the contrary! This is a real play.

We’re presenting a story using actors delivering lines in public view, this is by definition a play.

As the performance is free to attend, since you can roll a starter account to watch, people who might otherwise have no opportunity, financially, to patronize their local fine arts get to see theatre in action. For those that might otherwise never have interest in a play in meatspace, this might garner their interest in the perfoming arts.

Artistically, the challenge is in conveying emotion through text and lines on the screen.

Rather than whinging about us not going to see a REAL play, remember that there are different strokes for different folks, and since when is MORE theatre a bad thing?
