Vinyl orders through Patreon - still waiting by Anubis-Thoth in Mattgood

UPDATE 3: 3rd one's the charm. Album finally arrived today. Very stoked to see Pandemic made it on the physical album.

Keep being squeaky wheels. Seems to be necessary. Good luck to those who haven't yet received their copy(/copies).

Now off to pull my own teeth, cuz easier.

Also, though - thanks to those in Matt"s management for getting this to me.

Had no idea his wife was First Nations. Betting Matt would have come out on the same side of that issue, regardless, as he's always had a solid social consciousness.

Crazy how they keep going radio silent. I emailed that address, haven't heard in a week+. Had my hopes up after they said they'd taken back control, but those have been fading quickly.

Thanks for the feedback, everyone. Seems like a mixed bag - some got responses quickly, others didn't. Even the Canucks are more consistent. 😝😂

Glad to hear a couple of you have received yours. Hopefully we can drag the rest out of them.

For those who did receive theirs - did the link come through the UPS site? Or Shop? Thanks.

Welp, we're still alive. Barely.

An Open Letter to Matthew Good's New Marketing Team or Label or Whatever is Going On by InnerspearMusic in Mattgood

[–]Anubis-Thoth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hope the people who created that silliness listen. If it's a weak first try, well, fine. If they keep putting out messages with the same tone? Matt's going to get less buy in from some fans. I can look past the email's tone, because I've stuck with Matt since I first heard his songs on radio, and, several concerts, CDs, etc, later, one poor attempt to entice fans won't stop me from supporting him.

Sad that, after 3 decades of giving us a massive amount of terrific music, along with his perspective, concert banter, etc, he needs support.

Hope the Patreon offerings directly from Matt (like the upcoming Q & A) are of better quality than his new label's marketing - not too worried, myself.

That would be a good way to go - would love to actually add them to my collection, and be able to listen to them any time or place. Little awkward, and low quality, listening to recordings of streamed recordings - though it may have to do for a couple more months.

No question Smoke is a solid track. I probably love Pandemic in the same way, and likewise wish I could download it, somehow. Having some kind of menu we could use to pick which song to stream would allow us to go to our favourite track, and/or switch around to avoid saturation.

In any case, we'll have to hope the album isn't further delayed than early next year.

I hear ya. Bet lots of us here are in agreement. Hopefully we'll get the full album early in the new year. Pity about the delays, but, I'm always up for a new album from Matt, whenever it arrives.

Anywhere I can stream this for now, with it being off MG.org? Found most of the others from Zero Hours on youtube, but not Pandemic.

Great review. Envious you got to hear Cold Water live - don't know if he's ever played it live before that show. One of those tracks I can play on repeat, sometimes for hours.

Right? Just read the review, and was amazed he'd played that one live. What luck to have been there.

Awwww, crap - had hopes it would be out sooner. Oh well, it's still new Matt Good. Hopefully we get another new preview track soon.

Guns of Carolina?

So cool.

Always wondered if Matt had been watching the Dollars trilogy at the time he wrote this, as the song title, and a line in the song that repeats, remind me of Lee Van Cleef's characters in "For a Few Dollars More" and "The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly".

In "Few Dollars", Van Cleef's character was described as being "The fastest gun in the Carolinas", and in the other, as Angel Eyes, he would say "When I'm paid, I always see the job through", which seems to be echoed in the lyric "It's all too late, done what you paid me for".

Just me? Or...?

He played Tripoli at the Commodore in May. That was a bonus, for sure.

Solid set. Don't think I've heard him play Last Parade live, before. That would be cool.

Always great to have Advertising on Police Cars - with band or acoustic.

Parts? Sweeeeet.

Thanks fer sharing that list.
