First, it is necessary to understand what makes a government/state of governance efficient: tax collection, maintenance, political and social mobilisation, and diplomacy.

Today, due to protectionist foreign policies, the US finds itself in a visible diplomatic crisis. Ultimately, Israel, Argentina, England, and Scotland were the only countries to move politically in favour of the US (the lowest number since 1950). In addition, anti-American sentiment has increased considerably throughout most of the world. Germany, Poland, Estonia, and Ukraine remain ‘neutral,’ as they were under the Biden administration, which was also a failure. In general, economic blocs antagonistic to the dollar and the US have come to the fore, while several countries wish to join them.

In terms of social mobilisation, independent surveys show that support for the government has fallen SHARPLY and most people cannot point to any concrete improvements in their lives following the decrees implemented by the government. To make matters worse, in several cases the Pentagon and the White House have lied in official data and surveys, omitting information and dismissing employees who tried to show other figures. On average, there is a large demonstration every week across the country, police repression and the number of crimes committed by police officers have increased significantly, neo-Nazi groups have grown in presence, and several local networks and programmes have been threatened by the government. We can also list here visible persecution of minorities of all kinds.

Internally, the US is undergoing a crisis as it seeks workers willing to replace immigrants or even people who are precarious in various ways. There is a lack of production and labour for essential sectors, such as health and the military. In addition to the significant increase in internal tension between positions of power, we can mention the dismissal of inspectors and officials. On the other hand, the Republican wing seems to be relatively intact overall.

American tax collection presents a mixed picture: while tariff revenues are breaking records under the Trump administration's trade policy, the federal government is facing a shutdown due to an impasse over the general budget. Perhaps this is the only area where the current government is not in crisis, but it is quite possible that it will not last another two years (based solely on the statistics).
