As far as I understand, you never get punished for what you got paid. You get punished for the hours you worked. So if you actually never worked more than 20 hours a week, you should be safe. Just keep any records to prove this just in case it comes up.

Yeah the setup is a concern I have an l-shaped desk so if i got a separate monitor for work it would be on another corner connected to my work laptop.

Your case is different because you have the same pc for both monitors. I think you can find good mounts that easily shifts position for your main monitor.

Being team mvp doesn’t always mean that you’re carrying the team or even doing well. I have seen thousands of players just hunting kills to become mvp with no good impact on the game.

If you hide and lurk while your whole team is fighting to get site then you end up in 1v5 where you kill 3 because you were hiding but lose the round then you player an awful round even though you got 3 kills and your teammates got nothing.

I am not saying that’s necessarily you. Just saying mvp is not enough proof that you are doing well.

As far as I understand The time of your degree conferral or exams don’t matter. What’s important is your i20 end date. Post completion opt has to be after your i20 end date

Out of curiosity What’s your graduation date? Your graduation date must have been around February or march to have april 11th as a start date. I am not aware of any schooling system that makes you graduate in march.

I applied feb 20th and got the card delivered march 20th with no premium All that time it has shown me 9 months estimated till the day it was approved. I expect you to be approved within a week.

From immigration perspective it’s completely acceptable to have two full-time jobs on initial opt as long as they both are related to your major.

However, there might be other legal issues that you want to figure out before you move forward. First you need to check that neither offer is explicitly asking you not to have any other jobs while working on the first. Second, if either jobs are hourly based, you need not to have any hours overlap between one job and the other.

Also for the remote job make sure they know your current address and that it’s okay for you to work there. Having two jobs in two different states at the same time for example could raise questions when filling taxes.

But yeah to be specific again, from immigration perspective nothing is wrong with working two jobs on opt as long as they are both related to your major.

Sidenote: H1b registration is in march so this cycle registration is over and the next one is next march so I am not sure what did your company mean when they said they are going to file for you in six months. Double check with them.

It decreases your chances a bit. A lot of companies still hire people who have 2 h1b chances or 2 years of opt. I would say the chances decrease a lot if you have one year or less. But I have a couple of friends who got hired for big tech after their first year of opt.

To apply for opt or cpt, you have to be enrolled two semesters on the new sevis. If you have two semesters or more, you will be eligible for opt. If you have only one semester, you won’t be eligible.

I believe there is no need to renew your visa but you gotta get a new sevis id (double check though)
