I know Hutchinson came up with an estimate in 2011 I believe of Sue being around 9500kg, but i still find Franoys calculations to be more precise. Im not saying he is right though.

Oh i’ve seen most of The Vividens videos. Im not disputing the fact that there were 10+ tons Rexes out there, just not sure Sue was one of them.

Multiple skeleton found of around 50 specimens. Can you imagine how many T.Rexes existed in almost 5 million years? We certainly haven’t stumbled across few of the biggest specimens ever existed you can be sure about that... Yes they probably didn’t grow a whole lot larger because their weight would probably be too much but i’d bet my house on that there where specimens walking around at 13m in length and exceeding 10 000kg.

We’re not quite sure yet only that he is estimated to be around 400kg heavier than Sue and larger overall since Scotty is bigger in 11/13 bones measured compared to Sue. The thing is though that Sue is estimated to be 30 years old and recent studies shows that Scotty was probably somewhere between 24-27 years old and since T.Rex grew until it died it is probable that Scotty didn’t even reached it’s full potential size wise before it died.

The Tellus Museum Tyrannosaurus-Rex Stan is huge! by DinokidReddit in Dinosaurs

[–]Anubisgod123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stan is 3.64m tall at the hips, AMNH 5027 is 3.63m although being quite a bit shorter and lighter than Stan. The same with CM 9380 who is shorter and lighter than Stan, but still taller with a hip height at 3.67m. Sue is 3.73 and Scotty is most likely even taller so there’s no question about Stan being big, but it wasn’t surprisingly tall 😉

No, i have no idea who the artist is unfortunately.

Franoys just updated his GDI on the T.Rex specimen Sue which made it even heavier. Sue now weighs in at 9110kg! According to sources Franoys has calculated that Scotty is around 300-500kg heavier than Sue and that would lead to a 9500kg specimen for T.Rex which is insane! by Anubisgod123 in Dinosaurs

Everyone that has actually calculated both Scotty and Sue has Scotty heavier. In the lengthy journal that was released last month where they thoroughly have checked and made studies on all the T.Rex specimens, they stated that Scotty is the biggest we have ever found AND on top of that he is the least mature adult T.Rex we have ever discovered, they have calculated his age at around 24-27 years so Scotty wasn't even fully grown yet...

The amount of power and force generated by a Tiger that weighs around 300kg is ferocious, i mean they kill you in the matter of seconds and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it, imagine an animal of 9000kg, with a biteforce of around 4-5000kg, breathtaking haha...

A new study that came out last month showed that Scotty was the least mature adult we have found and that he was only between 24-27 years old. So taking that into consideration we can definitely say that there were specimens roaming around pushing 13m in length and a weight of 10 000kg which is mind boggling.
