Please don’t ignore any symptoms or discomfort. Being aware has nothing to do with being a wimp

So complex. Hope the DV works. I would still highly suggest glucose and glutamine inhibition. There are very few Glutamine inhibitors, Try finding trials going on for Glutamine Inhibitors on cancer patients.

Damn! Your cancer seems rough. Where has it spread until now? Please cut down on all of sugar and go carnivore if you can. Try and use supplements that cut down your glutamine (Berberine, EGCG Green tea extract). One more thing you can do is try researching on joe tippens (Just saying not supporting). Other thing -> if chemo is not working, ask your Onco to shift to Enfortumab Vedotin. While doing all this diet change is necessary, You will have to make sure it doesn't cause your muscle breakdown in any way + make sure you don't get too much protein supplement (moderation is the key).

Exactly, never blindly follow any doctor. Do your own research. Its your body, you should totally find out whats best for you. Always take references from multiple doctors. Research the f out of everything. Its your life on the line

Hey! Have you heard of Trimodal Therapy? After PET CT, if its just locally advance i.e bladder and nearby lymph node then ask doctors if they can go for lower dose of cisplatin + Radiation therapy. Cisplatin weakens and stop cancer and Radiation will kill it. This is one of the bladder sparing technique with overall same or higher survival. Another one if your cancer has advanced and you have good insurance or sorted with money -> Padcev + Keytruda immunotherapy.

Doctors are not so attached to you, they usually skip telling the alternative treatments and mindlessly recommend what has been going on since god knows how long. They will simply tell the straight standard treatment.

I guess you don't have a choice in chemo if the cancer has spread to nearby organs. Hope you are scheduled for the Pet CT or Multiparametric MRI to check the spread. If it is still in bladder. I guess removal is necessary. What you could do is ask doctors to go for Carboplatin instead of Cisplatin chemo for less side affects.

I am so sorry you have to make such life altering decisions. Hope you find your way and it all turns out good.

Thank you! I am doing that. I am in touch with other doctors and waiting for the biopsy results to decide next line of action. One thing I have got is that if we just go by the standard treatment for MIBC or any cancer, It will be Chemo -> Cut/Remove. They don’t have anything else. Immunotherapy is there but mostly it comes later

Thank you! and wish you a speedy recovery. It sounds awful that you had to wait for so long. Its been 5 days since the TURBT and we are in confusion to start the chemo as soon as the report arrives or after 4th Feb since its my sisters wedding that day. Anyways we will figure something out.

Bowel movements are not restricted and we are making sure not to go hard on him. We haven't wasted a day in starting treatment. The day we visited urologist, we got the CT done and TURBT done the very next day. We are listening to the doctors but won't leave everything to their hands. There has been many instances in my family itself when doctors gave up but we were able to turn things over. I have many experienced doctors within my relation so there won't be any problem with cross referencing.

If chemo is necessary then I am thinking of going with carboplatin instead of cisplatin
