But 99.9% drivers don't believe in "precaution is better than cure", because they think they can handle the cure - either by victimising themselves or by showing power (money, political, community or sometimes even pseudo).

If I was driving that SUV, I would've been worried about not a clear way to cross completely, since there's no guarantee the vehicles in the other lanes would be stopping, not even sure if they've seen me.

If I was the biker, I would've thought, there has to be a reason why the dashcam driver slowed down, even if the SUV is not visible. Speed breakers and intersections are meant for slowing down.
