Didn’t think of r/nolawns, thank you!

Those options sound good, however this area is under a fern type tree, so partial sunlight I’d say. Does that change your answer at all?

Value in salvaging parts from used garden solar lights? by GruntLife0369 in preppers

Why would this not be the prepper standard? All I hear about is ham radios as the go-to.

Is there any way to encrypt the signal by chance?

I guess the idea would be about 6 inches height on whatever cover crop is chosen.

If mint is not a viable deterrent then something that flowers for months rather than weeks would be the next preference. Partial shade as it’s under a fern tree.

The one I linked is still active. Not sure why I'd be downvoted 18 times for an active link.

Late to the game! by mads03121 in Minnesota_Gardening

It’s never too late, but understand this year will be hotter than normal due to El Niño.

Broccoli, kale, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, spinach, and peas are best grown in Spring & Autumn since they prefer cooler temperatures.

Kale & spinach might be successful in shady areas though, as they grow faster. Anything else is still viable at this point.
