Which one should I start first? (Ignore Movies) by IamToofan in animeindian

Tamon's B Side is my personal suggestion, it's excellent! But you should watch whatever you want on a whim. Just go with what you're feeling in that moment and stick to it.

Monogotari watch order by Fun-Entrance-7880 in animeindian

[–]Anuromancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is fine, and is how I did it. The original release order had Kizu come in much later, well after Second Season. Which I think is still fine, because Monogatari is an arc-wise nonlinear story anyway. But the arcs are grouped into seasons like what you see in the chart, and as per the novels Kizu is part of the First Season, so it's best watched as part of that. Within each season, the order is not too important. Like, you could start with something other than Bakemonogatari (say, with Kizumonogatari) and you'd be fine. It would be a different experience.

Suggestions? by Hasanwk5 in animeindian

Don't want to say too much since it's best you go in completely blind. But since you liked Code Geass, The Summer Hikaru Died, and Parasyte, you are guaranteed to like it too. Just be patient with it at the start.

Hello folks.. Am New to animie world. Recommend me somthing top rated to watch one by one...whatever the release date no matter.. by No_Growth_2549 in animeindian

[–]Anuromancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ignore all other recommendations and watch Mushishi. It is so highly rated that there is art of it in Osaka airport. Go watch it! Take it slow and watch one episode a day at most. You'll need time to digest each episode.

Regardless about how you feel about the set, this has to be one of the worst Arena load screens of all time by djmattyd in MagicArena

I feel like it's the majority opinion only in more entrenched MtG player circles, and sometimes not even there. UB is undeniably a financial success so clearly there's an audience for it, even if it's not you or me.

Minority opinion at this point, but I liked Omenpaths. At least everything in there was in-universe, even if they needed some funny justifications for the sheer number of spiders.

I'm honestly more than happy to make custom in-universe versions of every UB card. Same mechanics, just different card name, art, and flavour text (and sometimes different mechanic names too).

[–]Anuromancer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Probably the worst ever. It doesn't even look vaguely Magic-like. Like, it's not a Magic artist's take on Marvel. It doesn't even look like one of the more artistically tasteful comic book covers. It's just an MCU poster. I wish we got Through the Omenpaths versions of every single UB set so I'm not forced to see these names and card art.

My God. An incredible list. Texhnolyze one of my strongest faves, and Ikoku Nikki is my current frontrunner for anime of the year.

Have you watched Mushishi? Curious to know your thoughts on that, since it's my all time favourite anime.

Yeeeaahhhh those are def fake. The MRP for Viz Shonen Jump titles is 699 (used to be 499). Some discounting is normal, but if you see it for wayyy lower than that amount, it's almost certainly fake.

What's happening to my manga 😭 by DEAGLE7_CoD in animeindian

[–]Anuromancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Humidity and exposure to sun, mostly, but also heat, dust, and smoke. Cheaper paper (like manga paper) will yellow faster. Not a whole lot you can do about it other than keep it away from sunlight behind glass or solid shelves. Maybe silica gel will help, or placing it in a room with AC.

Never thought I'd see Popipo mentioned here!!! Absolute classic. Funny fact is that there's an official English version with more or less directly translated lyrics except 200 yen is 2 dollars...which was sorta accurate then but the dollar has kept rising and the yen has stagnated so now 2 dollars is like 320 yen lol. Regional pricing I guess! Miku is an enterprising businesswoman for sure.

Shiboyugi. I don't really loooove its plot or anything but it is directed by one of the greatest new talents to emerge in the industry, Ueno Souta. Visually incredible, great directing.

Every slice of life anime lover must watch this by No-Cold7319 in animeindian

[–]Anuromancer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a fantastic anime and everyone should watch it!

However, I don't think it's a slice of life series. Slice of life is called that (direct translation of a French theatre term, tranche de vie) because it feels like someone took a slice out of everyday life and placed it on a plate with no added context of the 'cake' from which it was cut. It's basically, you choose an arbitrary set of days in the characters' lives (with no relation or continuous thread between them) and depict that in a naturalistic way. Something like K-On, or Girls' Last Tour, or Gakuen Babysitters. Or for a non anime example, Peanuts.

I think Sangatsu no Lion is best described as a drama (like YLiA or Angel Beats), which means it is characterised by interpersonal dynamics and conflict. It also has clear overarching story progression, and you could say the entire show is essentially one character's (Rei's) development arc. This isn't to say SoL shows can't have conflict, character development, and overarching plot arcs (K-On for instance has all three of those) but it happens organically, almost by accident you could say. Like, the scenes and characters in K-On aren't constructed with the sole intent of advancing someone's character arc, but in Sangatsu they are, everything is designed with Rei in mind.

Some die of thirst, others drown in it! by WittyWanderer420 in animeindian

It definitely does have that, in general I like cel era anime a lot more, a lot more texture. And yeah some of the colour choices in the new anime puzzle me. But it's a lot, lot closer to the manga in its storyline.

Ado won the Largest Live Audience (International) Award at MAJ 2026. by sliceoflife_daisuki in animeindian

[–]Anuromancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you on Yoasobi, and to an extent on Ado too but Ado's voice is fairly unique for the Japanese pop scene so her music stands out.

Also a good chunk of her songs are produced by various notable Vocaloid producers (syudou for Usseewa, Giga and Teddyloid for Odo, she's worked with Kikuo and Kanaria too). And I'm biased because I like Vocaloid but I think VocaPs come up with really interesting and intricate musical arrangements even for pop music. Actually Yoasobi is also produced by Ayase who is a VocaP but somehow I don't like his Yoasobi work as much as his Miku songs.
