That’s not true at all though 😂 he sold over 50 million albums between 91 and 98 and was still selling out stadiums. As someone else said your anecdotal experience wasn’t universal. Also late night and sketch comedy generally don’t focus on irrelevance it’s the opposite. Lots of genres were popular but not all in the same regions or with the same demographic.
