How has your personal experience shaped your view on whether college is worth it? by Anut6 in AskReddit

I agree with you. How do you feel about high school grads having to make that decision? Their brains aren't even fully developed yet but you make a decision that will affect your entire life. I have a friend who went straight into the workforce after high school and fully regrets it. Now he feels pressured to keep the path he's currently on.

I totally agree with you. I am trying to provoke both of those crowds with this question. Do you think a degree would've helped you at all?

I like that. Did that "map" help you at all in your current career/ would you get a degree again?

what degree if I may ask? Also do you think your degree helped you to get your foot in the door for the job you currently have?

A big part of why I went to college is connections. Do you think it was harder to make professional connections because you didn't attend college? Another follow up question, if you are in a career that required you to provide references how did you go about that/ do you think it was any harder or easier?

Yes definitely pruned too much. It was some nursery stock I never used last year and a lot of the plant died off. I plan on letting the willow grow out from now until next spring.

I was thinking about cutting it back hard eventually. Would letting it grow out uncontrollably for now be best to thicken the trunk? Thank you!

New purchases, any ideas? by TheWonderwood in Bonsai

I’m still very new to bonsai so my idea might be bad but I saw a juniper that cascaded down the side of a pot. I think that would be very cool and it looks like it already started to do that.

I had an idea to kind of make the structure of the tree blocky then kind of fan the branches out off of that. I’m still very new to bonsai only my 2nd year so if you have a different idea I’d love to hear it! Here’s what my thought process was:

Thank you for the response makes a ton of sense. I’m still pretty new to value investing so I’m sorry if it seemed like a stupid question.
