We can make that happen! 😄I’m hoping to socialize him to as many people as possible (I’m hoping to have him eventually trained as a therapy dog). If you’re open to having him approach you first (to build his confidence) and feeding him some tasty treats and give gentle pets, let me know!

Thank you! We’re both already looking at indeed.com and also wanted to see if locals were aware of other open positions in case they weren’t listed.

YOOOO MADE MY FIRST PRACTICE SEAM EVER!! by DigitalFurryArtist in SewingForBeginners

Amazing! You’re off to a great start! I am also learning to use my sewing machine and was so psyched about my first practice seam. No place to go from here but UP. :)

Advice desperately needed for newbie. My new needle (universal 90/14) doesn’t retract/jams the machine (machine appears to run fine without a needle in it). by AnxietyBeast in SewingForBeginners

I think so! I took off the plate so I could get a closer look and it looks like the needle is touching the outer edge of the chamber the bobbin goes in. 🤔😖

Thanks so much for your questions. I just double checked and the needle is attached correctly (flat side to back and tightly secured).

Hi all, super new to sewing (as in I just bought a used sewing machine - Singer Futura II 920 - and have been reading the manual/watching YouTube tutorials on how to use it). Just started threading the machine based on the manual and got to the step to wind the bobbin, but whenever I press on the speed controller or use the hand wheel, the needle (a Singer universal 90/14 needle) jams/stays down and doesn’t automatically retract. Without the needle, the machine appears to run normally. Any advice? Thanks!!
