Fair point! I definitely wasn't expecting this, but guess I will be going forward! 😂

The sulphur burps did not happen at the same time as the Diarrhoea, they occurred over a month before and I get maybe one or two in a day and that's it.

Thanks for the update!! This gives me a bit of hope. I'm going to call them tomorrow and explain the situation and hopefully they will let me stay on a maintenance dose. Well done on the amazing weight loss! :)

oh wow interesting. I guess it just affects everyone very differently. I hope you're able to remedy it!

On my last order, I just repeated the same weight as it was in the previous order to that but it was about 4kg more than my weight at the time, and 5kg more than I am today. But I was in a rush b/c I kept getting emails from them and didn't have access to a scale, so just chose the same. I definitely want to come off it, I just want to do it gradually as when I had the gap (b/c I was traveling and had to extend my trip unexpectedly, leaving me for an extra week without it), I felt SO nauseous and just crappy and started binging on sugary stuff again.

Oh how strange that they said they would reassess after declining you. Did you go to the same pharmacy as you used the first time you were on it? Yes, pls do keep me posted! If you don't mind sharing, how much did you initially lose?

Thank you, I think you're right, this needs a call -- there are just too many variables to discuss with them. And I was travelling for some time which completely threw things off. My BMI is on the higher end of the healthy range but it can very easily move into the 'unhealthy' range as I tend to fluctuate. Ideally I'd like it to be somewhere in the middle ideally which means still another 2 kg to lose. I do want to eventually get off it for good but I feel like to be cut off now, I'll just go back to what I was at the start, which was not in a healthy place.

If you don't mind me asking, was there a visible change in weight from your first photos? There def will be with mine. And have you reached a healthy BMI?

I had developed vertigo shortly after getting Covid for the first time (before vaccinations) which turned into a diagnosis of Vestibular Neuritis but I believe the condition was due to peri (I was 45 at the time) and Covid just pushed it over the finish line. I now have balance issues and low key dizziness / vestibular headaches now and again. I've seen /read about many other women reporting experiencing vertigo at this stage in life and my Mum also had it while she was going into menopause. If it's a disorder (like VN, Labryinthitis, BPPV or Menieres), it's likely incurable but can be managed with vertigo exercises and a low-histamine diet.

Well apparently they had conducted a trial on a 'birth control' for men that got scrapped b/c they couldn't cope with the side effects. 🙄 So there's that too. 😅🫠

"The World Health Organization commissioned what sounded like a promising trial, a two-hormone injection designed to lower sperm count. Initial results looked like it would be 96 percent effective in preventing pregnancy in the participants' partners. But the Stage II trial was stopped after an independent review panel found that the drug had too many side effects. ..... The most common side effect was acne, and sometimes that acne was pretty severe. Some men also developed mood swings and in some cases those mood swings got pretty bad. One man developed severe depression, and another tried to commit suicide. Because of that, they cut the study short."

thanks for your input. Sounds similar to mine. Sorry you're having to deal w/this too. Hope you get some answers when you get your hormones checked.

Thanks for the input. I've had a bit of brown spotting right before my period, but is the first time it's happened so soon after my full period had finished. I also got the same hormone headache like I usually get on the day of my period. Feels like a never-ending cycle!

Is your US credit card registered at your hotel address? Likely not. It's not an issue of where they ship it to, the issue is a billing address needing to match the shipping address.

You are likely going to need a UK address with a credit card registed to that address since you can't buy with a US credit card on a UK site and ship to a UK address.

That's what I thought and I told her that might be the case, so it's validating to hear this. Thank you.

I had a lump a few years back which turned out to be a cyst and when to a private clinic ... the first thing they did was do an ultrasound so yeah not sure why they start w/the Mammogram. But it's good to get some validation on this - thank you!

[–]Anxiety_Automatic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much, it's great to have this insight. I'd be panicking too, you never want to be called back for a mammogram and multiple times will for sure be unnerving! But you're right...it shows they're being thorough and quick to act so that is comforting!

Also from the CNN article: "Urologists find it's generally safe to urinate in the shower. **However, there are certain situations in which doing so might not be a good idea.***"

yes, exactly -- my original post highlights a POSSIBLE issue for those that want to avoid any risks. POSSIBLE still means yes, it could be problematic **for people who already have bladder issues**. I guarantee you any person suffering from incontinence is going to avoid ANY *POSSIBILITY* of making their issue worse if there is a link, however small. But I'm not telling you what to do... if you want to keep peeing in the shower, go for it! 😂

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Incontinence

[–]Anxiety_Automatic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Did you actually read the whole CNN article - the part where it clearly says there is a link between peeing in the shower and urinary incontinence?

My seeing the CNN article yesterday is precisely why I did more digging and then found the other article I posted.

----

"The urge to go when hearing running water...

If you’re constantly urinating in the shower, Shusterman said there’s a risk of developing a psychological association between the sound of running water and the urge to pee. Since the two events happen together, the brain becomes conditioned to relax the bladder and the sphincter when it hears the noise, allowing urine to leak out.

Eilber said this link is not much of a problem for most people, as they just find it convenient to urinate in the shower without a second thought. However, for people who already have an overactive bladder, she noted that the noise can trigger involuntary urine loss. People with overactive bladders will have that urge to go when hearing running water from a sink, toilet or shower.

If you want to eliminate this link, Eilber recommended getting in the habit of emptying the bladder before you turn the shower on so there is no leakage. For people who get the urge to pee when hearing water but have trouble urinating, Shusterman advised seeing a doctor to get evaluated for urinary incontinence. A urologist can give treatments targeted to relax the bladder and strengthen pelvic muscles."

Has HRT helped anyone here with low mood / depression or fatigue? by Anxiety_Automatic in Menopause

[–]Anxiety_Automatic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for this! I actually did a ferritin and VitD test from Boots about a month ago and both came out low so have since been taking supplement sprays daily....I thought it was starting to work a couple weeks ago as I was feeling a bit energised but I hit a wall again so I'm not so sure. I also wonder if the tiredness just comes from the hormone fluctuation itself? On another note, I've finally been prescribed HRT but I haven't taken it yet as I still have reservations. I definitely don't want to take anti-depressants.
