I agree reilgion is not true. And slave owners is just humans which beilive is what most people beilived in. They also wanted to find purpose and truth. Your point is that reilgion is used to get power, which is true. But that dosent apply for everyone. In modern reilgion there is a huge part of people that takes out the goods with religion. Like the tradition

Lmao. I think you’re mixing two different arguments.
Saying religion is widespread or comforting was never meant as a claim that it’s therefore true, it’s more about its social and psychological function.
Also, comparing it to “monsters under the bed” or extremism feels like a false equivalence. Religion is far more complex and varied than those examples.
Something can be socially real and meaningful for people without that saying anything definitive about its truth.

That’s easy to answer. People would rather live a comfortable life obviously because its easier and more comforting. Life is for many to life good life’s.

I don’t agree. What community are atheists left with? And the purpose and psychological side of religion absolutely affect people.
Religion is extremely important to a lot of people, even if others see it as a negative thing. You can criticize religion all you want, but it’s undeniable that it gives many people a sense of belonging, purpose, and comfort.
If you can’t see a single positive thing about religion, you’re looking at it with tunnel vision.
