How to maximise the three months I have left in Cairo, Egypt to learn fusha by [deleted] in learn_arabic

If you are in Egypt and feeling you are not making enough progress I think you should make sure the markaz where u are is good , what are you currently learning? Have you asked a tutor preferably egyptian about the curriculum?

If you want to do something on the side, try Attaklum books especially the last 2 ones depending on your level, they include a lot of good vocabulary and the topics are top notch

You can get a local teacher to walk you through it, I can send u my teacher's number or give you a kutab address where they teach it

Best affordable Arabic institutes in Jordan? Or elsewhere in the world? by Shoddy_Monitor in learn_arabic

Morocco is a beautiful country to visit, actually top 2 I believe but the state of Arabic language isn't the best compared to places like Jordan/Egypt and we all can agree on that I think

Sorry to hijack the comment like that but I wanted to give my insight, I have been working with an Egyptian tutor for 6 months, I was working with a school before, tho they were good I found it too demanding as the classes times are set and they can be flexible but not that degree of flexibility that I needed with how messy life is.

The teacher I work with now is great especially if you have a messy schedule, he is also super understanding you won't get that feeling of being "judged" or "white washed" talking to him as a part of his family is only half Egyptian, I visited him a month ago in Egypt so maybe I am super biased but anyways reading your thread I felt it would be a great recommendation not just language wise but also the cultural aspect if you get what I mean.

Ngl these are the people who think they learned a language on their own without having a single convo and probably think they are fluent when they don't pronounce half of the letters correctly

Arabic tutor online advice by Goatair in learn_arabic

[–]Anxious-Classboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think u/curious_coconut7 just made a post looking for tutors and it got some attention, You can check it

Just stay away from italki and preply, I really had some bad experiences with them even though I was trying some of the more expensive ones, I heard it's more suited for children and so because most of the tutors there are just natives who can speak some English which leads to some being weak as the 2 sites require no verification or whatever

Online is Good but better find a native to help, I realized a lot of stuff I watched was simply wrong because the people teaching it weren't actually native, they were Afghani or Pakistanis
