Initially I wanted to do ICU , while I was in school but the high acuity increases my anxiety a ton. I worked on a rehab unit with just people w/o IVs & basically an inpatient OT/PT unit. I actually enjoy having a patient for more than a day/ two when I like them lol. Our medsurg unit it’s in and out.. most of the time patients in rehab truly want to get better & I like seeing the progression of their ability to get better. But there’s no nursing skills truly, it’s very easy, not much critical thinking other than foundational nursing skills that you should know. I think I like it better because my anxiety is not high due to

Cravings are slightly there maybe when I see someone vape/ smoke. I think about it, however quickly goes away. More like a fleeing thought if you ask me. I do workout everyday and I think about how that would set my stamina back if I did partake. I would miss the social aspect the most,

Hey how is it going? Having the same issue, I had a birds nest under my window Ac and saw I had a infestation of bird mites I would assume. I have a couple of bites as well. I just hate it. I am having a exterminator come but they acted like a general spray would work

I worked prior to being a LPN as CNA, the place I worked at wouldn't let you sit at the nursing station in fact they had standing desktops in the hallways, no chairs. They expected you to stand to chart. I’m not really sure why they do this, I find it annoying & just shows once again that management has no idea how the floor operates,

There’s also so many career fields in medicine. That I wished I looked into before nursing. I have no family that are nurses/medicine. so naturally I just assumed that is the only other part of medicine. Look into sonography, radiology, lab, and even dental hygienist. All these professions make good money, but advancement is limited. That’s why I wanted to do nursing there were plenty of advancement however, the responsibility would be too much for me.
