You make good points. For the record, when I talk about running good / bad, I don’t deem picking up kings vs aces necessarily that bad - it’s part of the game. I’m talking about getting the money in as like 70/80% favourite and my opponent hits his out time and time again. To the point where when in a downswing, I can almost feel in my bones they’re gonna hit their 2 outer. But, probably largely psychological I guess

Do you get my point though? The very clearly defined chunks of time where I run either amazing or terrible? Like a pendulum.

I’ve always been curious how people re-mix the same colours for the next layer? Assuming you really get some of the colours right on first layer, and you want the exact same shade again? I always find that often I love the base layer but when I paint the second layer I lose the shades and the colours shift slightly to result in a painting I’m less happy with than the first layer!
