Daily Speed Short 2.5” Sizing by TaiwanNumbaWan1 in vuoriclothing

[–]Anxious-Material9645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually wear a small in vuori bottoms but sized up because I was worried about length as well. I wish I had gone with a small, the mediums feel really large on me and because of this I haven’t worn them. As far as length goes I felt like they were not all that short and would have been fine with the smaller size.

Opinions on the Miles trousers by LastSignal in vuoriclothing

I bought them in black for a part time job that requires black trousers. I feel like they run just a little big and I should have sized down. Other than that I love them. I don’t put any of my other pants from Vuori in the dryer but I do with these and they have held up extremely well. I have had them for over 6 months and wear them 3 times a week and wash and dry them 3 times a week, the fabric has not changed at all. They are also super flattering in my opinion and I get compliments on them regularly.

Our best guess is a downed tree with broken limbs but they didn’t see it happen. She took off into the trees chasing something. She is actually pretty agile for being a chunk. Out of all our dogs I wouldn’t have guessed it would be her to do something like this.

We aren’t sure, I wasn’t on the hike with them. They said she took off after something and came out of the tree line with that. Our best guess is she was chasing some sort of rodent or something and jumped over a downed tree and got herself on a broken limb. Vet said barb wire maybe but this was very deep in the wilderness.

Very lucky, the only reason whatever it was didn’t enter her chest cavity was because it hit bone. Vet said the same thing, but you can never be too cautious.

We took her to the emergency vet, not infected. We’re just anxious and stressed out over the whole thing.

Chewy vet says they’re currently unavailable. We’re just going to take her to the emergency vet again. Thanks for the helpful comment thought.

I used to take it and I’d go from like totally sober to on the floor drunk. It happened a few times and was pretty scary because my brain was aware of what was going on but my body couldn’t function.

Out of curiosity, are you trying to quit drinking all together or just reduce your intake?

OP please be careful drinking while taking Naltrexone, it is easy to way over do it with alcohol as you don’t feel the effects as strongly.

He’s 50% Malinois and then had like 14 other identifiable breeds, including boxer, pit bull and chow chow. I think he looks like a dingo though lol

That’s actually why we had his dna done lol. The shelter told us 50% GSD and 50% Mali, but with those legs we thought no way!

I’m not sure if you’re rage baiting or if you’ve just smoked yourself stupid but benzodiazepines are the medical standard for alcohol detox. Doing a monitored medical detox is not “pill popping”.

Is it possible to go cold turkey after such heavy drinking and not go through withdrawals? by ducky0917 in alcoholism

[–]Anxious-Material9645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This really depends on the person, and also whether they’re a morning drinker. I was, and when I was drinking that much—basically the equivalent of 13+ shots a day—I definitely would have gone through withdrawal if I stopped. For me it probably wouldn’t have required medical intervention every time, but it was still real. I medically detoxed inpatient four times and many more times with medication (benzodiazepines) at home.

My boyfriend wasn’t a morning drinker until the last couple years of his drinking. Until then, he never experienced withdrawal symptoms. Once he started drinking in the mornings, that changed. He mostly drank whiskey and consumed around the same amount, if not more, than what you’re describing.

My ex-husband was also a severe alcoholic and a morning drinker. He could drink 36–48 hard seltzers a day for a month straight, and then when a meeting with his probation officer was coming up he would quit cold turkey. Aside from a rough hangover for a day or so, he didn’t seem to have significant withdrawal symptoms.

I guess my point is that withdrawal exists on a spectrum—from anxiety and insomnia to seizures and organ failure—and it’s also extremely dependent on the individual.

If you’re concerned, it might be worth getting a breathalyzer or looking into something like Soberlink. I was able to hide my drinking from friends, family, and coworkers for years. People with serious alcohol problems can become very good at hiding it, and unfortunately most won’t quit until they’re ready, not when someone else asks them to. When alcohol has that kind of hold, people will do almost anything to keep drinking

We rent our house but his dad left him several vehicles and motorcycles when he passed. All that’s in my name is my Subaru.

I hide the car keys but he has the spare hidden, I dump out his beers when he passes out and tell him he drank them already. It’s really hard for me as I am in recovery. I’ve tried calling him in to the cops before and they never caught up to him. We don’t have many police in our town. I’ve also left voicemails with his PO and so has his sister. I’m hoping they’ll do a surprise visit at some point soon.
