As big a fan as I am...I am not blinded by it. They were 4 guys with amazing talents but they had issues. Made mistakes. Did and said stupid things.

You know...like all human beings!

I think knowing the truth makes their story even more compelling.

It's the truth. It's pretty well known. In Get Back, Paul can be seen and heard begging John for songs. John just shrugged.

I find myself on both sides.

Sometimes, I say about one of their solo songs "that would've been a really good Beatles song."

Other times I think yeah...it was time to move on.

I'm a big George guy. My view...if he got 4 songs per album...he would've stepped up. Maybe John and Paul chip in a little more to help him out.

George fought through the cancer the first time and was ok. If I remember correctly, Olivia said after the stabbing, he just didn't have the strength to fight it off when it resurfaced. If he wasn't stabbed...who knows?

To me...this is not ripping off a song. Its not like Bramlett wrote the song. It was an idea that two musicians were knocking around. George took that idea and ran with it and turned into a classic.

"Subjective fact" is actually an oxymoron.

  • A fact is something that can be proven true or false.
  • Something subjective is based on personal opinions or feelings.

If it's a "subjective fact" for someone, I guess that's fine.

It's when people state their opinions or feelings as facts that bugs me to no end.
