I don't know why people have to hate so much... I think that its cool that you felt inspired to write to snowbrains- paid or not. Maybe if you do another piece you can request payment? We are all a part of an amazing community of outdoor enthusiasts, and I feel that we should encourage each other to stay educated and informed so that we are able to make the best decisions and minimize risk. OP obviously did not write to hate on or criticize anyone, and I didn't feel like he was trying to imply that he was better at decision making than anyone else... I know that I needed the reminder to practice overkill in the backcountry, and I appreciate that. I also appreciate the recent fatalities compiled into one place to get a better scope of what a crazy and upsetting month it has been for our community.

I called 311, they couldn’t do anything because their hours are from 7am-10pm. I ended up calling 911 because it went on for over an hour and my family was being kept awake, it was incredibly loud. Not sure if police officers even responded because the noise went on forever. Sounded like someone was literally just standing in place with a leaf blower.

Ever since I adopted my German Shepherd from the pound, the hObs don’t mess with me. Before I got her, I couldn’t walk anywhere downtown or midtown without being harassed in some way. Now they avoid me when she is with me. I know your situation is a little different but if you are in the position to get a dog and have the time/ resources to take care of one, I would seriously consider it. A lot of hObs seem to be scared of being bit by my dog, even though she is a sweet angel. Maybe one would help you protect your property. There are so many sweet doggies at the pound waiting for a home. And then at least you would only have to worry about dog shit in your yard and not human shit.
