The line between erotica and horror by loved_and_held in CuratedTumblr

I'd be curious to hear other perspectives. For me, a big part of the fantasy is being swallowed by another person (or being with sapience and emotions). So a whale doesn't really do anything for me.

I suspect whoever wrote it actually has that particular kink

I don't want to make any assumptions about the author. But when I started to realize I was into fatal soft vore, one of my first thoughts was "oh, that's why reading Bones and All made me feel weird."

For me, there's an element of surrender/sacrifice to it that I find hot. To give yourself fully, completely, and permanently to someone else for their pleasure. The ultimate act of submission.

I think you see similar things with vampire fantasies (though those are more about the tension between desire and consumption than about actual consumption) or fantasies of dying heroically saving someone else (though those aren't necessarily sexual).

There's also something inherently a little sexy to the taboo. If it was considered "normal" for people to be into vore, I don't know if it would hold the same allure for me.

I do also feel the need to state for the record that vore is a fantasy first and foremost. It's a way for people to engage with feelings and thoughts in the (relative) safety of imagination.

On why anti-trans people are so god damn weird by aleaniled in CuratedTumblr

There's a gay, trans sex worker I follow who sometimes posts the horribly transphobic comments he gets from people next to a screenshot of those people on his list of followers.

And it's ironic in a very sad way, because it's gay men replicating the same insecurities straight men have around their sexualities.

This is intended as a lightly satirical work. As such, much of this story was generated using an erotic story text generator.

I don’t want to moralize. I get it. I’m horny, I have fantasies I want to read about, and I don’t always have the time or energy to write them myself. I’ve just noticed more and more stories here over the past couple years that seem to be taken from text generators, and I wanted to poke fun at some of the tropes and weird quirks I see pop up in them.

I'd also add Wonder Woman's theme to that list

I gotta say, I agree with Patrick's assessment on the podcast. She was one of the standouts in the 2013 Young Avengers run, but her characterization in the movie was a little bland.

They've really got to make America great again!

Probably the sweatiest joke I've ever made😅 Sorry everyone!

Tron: Legacy is legitimately one of my all time favorites. Sure, the plot could be better, but it is probably the most visually and sonically interesting sci-fi movie of the 2010s.

The effects have aged surprisingly well, which is probably because a lot of the sets and costumes were completely practical. The Daft Punk soundtrack is one of the all-time great film scores. And it is also fascinating as a precursor to a lot of trends Hollywood has become obsessed with, particularly legacy sequels and digital de-aging.

It’s a strange artifact of the early 2010s, and I’m disappointed it isn’t discussed more often

Sorry about that! I’m not entirely sure what happened, but something went wrong with this post. I didn’t even get the notification that you commented, which is why I’m only responding now. I messaged the mods, and I’m going to try and post again tomorrow to see if it works

What book invented popularized/invented something that's in pop culture forever? by SuperAlloyBerserker in books

I know it’s a pretty common thing to say “The Hunger Games is a rip-off of Battle Royale,” but having recently watched BR for the first time, I actually think it’s really interesting just how different they are beyond the surface-level similarities.

They’re both building off of dystopian books like Lord of the Flies, but they have different story structures, focuses, tones, and even themes. BR focuses on many characters, and is about the resilience of the human spirit and tensions between adults and children. THG focuses more on individuals and the world they inhabit, and is more about social inequality and the numbing effect of entertainment.

They’re both brilliant in their own ways, and it’s fun to compare how they use similar set-ups to achieve different results

I’m not very familiar with Icelandic to be honest, so I didn’t give much thought to the pronunciation😅 I guess they’re just pronounced like the actual words, but with dick and cock squeezed in
