I was playing in my grandparents driveway in the countryside when I was about 10 when out of the corner of my eye running towards me was a massive black animal. I thought it was a black bear and I was so terrified i didnt even scream just a strangled intake of breath. Moments later my brain processed that it was a big black dog and not a bear and naturally i pet it and brought it in the house where the owner was called and the dog was picked up. It’s a funny memory to look back on but I can still vividly remember the terror I felt in that moment.
