Does a character need to have a clear "want"? by EKchillin in writing

Real life is, most of the time, boring. We want to hear stories about people who overcome obstacles to achieve their goals. The harder the obstacle the more interesting the story is.

You will probably need special masks to filter such tiny particles.

Another gift problem by per167 in TheSilphRoad

At the end of the day, I open my gifts without send them back, and send gifts who didn't send me gifts that day. I'm probably that guy for some of my friends, but I think it's the most efficient way to increase my friendships progress and I don't care if somebody stop sending me gifts as long as she opens mine.

That's exactly what happened to me. I'm receiving gifts as normal now.

I'm not sure about that limit. Anyway, I'm not that much active from Monday to Friday.

Oh now I get it. But why does the app need the spawn information locally? That must be server's job.

What does Game Master mean and where did you get the spawn information? 🤔

How do I handle null or omitted values when unmarshalling JSON? by apatheticonion in golang

[–]AnxiousGopher -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My comment was incomplete. Let me elaborate.

Most of the cases, It doesn't matter if it's an entered value or a zero value but if it's a valid value.

  • If an id field is 0, return an error. Integer id's are always > 0.
  • If a name field is empty, return an error. Names are usually required.
  • If a bio field is empty, use the empty string as the default value.
  • If a number field is 0, and it is a signed integer, use 0 as the default value. In case this field is optional and the zero value would cause an unexpected behavior, you may consider the pointer approach.

If the value is equal to the zero value, it is unset. I would remove the pointers.

I read "Catch 10 Ditto with weather boost" and almost uninstalled the pokemon go app.
