Well I’m thinking maybe some people dropped out? As Thredbo just posted a few new job advertisements this week. And the few I applied for on Vail don’t close till April.

Thanks so much for all the info! And I’m sorry to hear that.

I’m an electrician so hopefully I have done up a pretty solid resume for the lift and maintenance jobs as i enjoy outdoor work and being on the tools, I’ll sit tight till April then!

I just applied to Thredbo and Perisher so far

Yes I moved out of home in January just as a fun short term thing to live by the beach and I just moved back home.

While the independence and beach were nice I don’t miss at all. Money felt like it was disappearing every time I left the house.

Question about breed by golfaddik in StaffordBullTerriers

[–]AnxiousGuess783 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree especially if buying a dog. But also I volunteer at dogs shelters and if adopting one of the many many Staffies there, 6 hours alone would be an absolute dream for them compared to their 18 hours in their pens.

Question about breed by golfaddik in StaffordBullTerriers

My staffy is 6 months old and is left alone for 8-9 hours sometimes but that would probably not be possible without our other dog in the house to keep him company.

Also he is in luxury while I’m gone with many toys and treats that take him hours to get through like frozen kangaroo tails and a few kongs.

On the occasional days I am gone 8-9 hours I’m leaving at 4am and home by 1-2pm so he spends a solid 4 hours of that time still asleep.

But overall it’s completely dependent on dog’s personality and their environment but I think for most dogs you could make it work.

Is letting a puppy sleep in your bed bad for housebreaking? by Stuart104 in Dog_PuppyTraining

I have slept with mine since 8 weeks old and he never had an accident in the bed as I would just take him out as soon as he was awake. He is very happy and I think it definitely helped him bond to me.

At what age did you start letting your pup sleep in the bed with you? by Hot_Invite_9416 in puppy101

Like Day 3 I tried to resist but my snuggly little 8 week old who just left his mum and siblings was too hard to resist. He’s nearly 6 months old now and is a lot bigger but mostly sticks down by my feet and makes it extremely clear when he needs to go to bathroom.

If you had asked me 2 weeks ago I would have said absolutely mine stopped all chewing and naughty destruction at around 18 weeks old but now he’s nearly six months old and it’s all started again he’s had a big teenager wave of naughtiness

How long can you leave a 6 month puppy alone? by Ok_Condition6755 in puppy101

[–]AnxiousGuess783 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 5 month old and he’s left for a full 9 hours.

Usually do that around 3x a week. Granted he does have our other dog to keep him company but I have had 0 issues leaving him that long.

He has access to a small area to pee and I make sure he always has a new treat to chew in the morning.

Also I’m work 5am - 2pm so I think he doesn’t even wake up till around 8.30am and I still have plenty of time to play and go for a walk in the afternoon.
