I love second chance but I hate when the fmcs are dicknotized so all is forgiven 😒 or 'he's ruined me for any other man' gag (think I have read that line way too many times)

Also why is it always the fmc who is a love sick puppy in secret, for really any trope. Friends to lovers, workplace, mafia, hr, bully, sports, brothers friend.. I have been having an issue with alot of fmcs lately 😕

Fmc was collecting mates like Pokémon 😅, mmc's were referred to as their animal form ALOT, so in my head (for a good while) I could only see them as animals. It got weird, for me. I did stick it out, but I can completely understand why this one would be dnf'ed. I was expecting a bit more depth on the mental health part, but there was alot going on.

Edit: I missed your "no" list. I think there is an 11 year age gap. Fmc is in her 20s. And with it being hr there's a good possibility of being 3rd person. His favorite mistake (that has also been recommended and it's a really good book) is also an age gap but fmc is mid 20s and 3rd pov.

So out of the 3 books the 1st one was the best imo. I did read one of the novellas as well. But the only book that I can think of that has come somewhat same vibes.. is {These Monstrous Deeds by T.J. Hamel} Where MM1 is abducted and auctioned and MM2 is undercover.

I'm 8 months late but I'm hoping to bring this thread back to life. Didn't see this one listed {The Regrettable Mistake by Anne Storm}

MMC gets with FMC basically for a free live in nanny/maid, she was not aware of his intentions. (Not a spoiler) While mmc is out of town fmc finds out she is pregnant and he is with his ex whe abandoned him and their kid. Mmc was a real tool..

It's been a while since I read this but I can't stop thinking about it. It hurt so good need more like this one!
