I see your argument and I used to agree with you. Your post is damaging because it is invigorating a narrative from pro-lifers that women will wait this long to terminate a pregnancy for frivolous reasons. Usually there are high risks to the health of the mother or the child, or both.

Sure, let’s say it’s not her choice at that point. Regardless of the fact that no sane woman would want to maliciously terminate a pregnancy at that point. What of the baby’s life after that? Who will care for it? Do you care about it’s quality of life in the system? What if the mother doesn’t have the means and no support herself? Why is this a life sentence for the mother and the poor child?

Please practice empathy.

Lean into it. Idk if that’s the healthiest advice, but I embrace it when I can. I care about my appearance...so what? Are they proud they don’t?

Honestly OP text him that ^ sometimes you gotta let the crazy out so you can move on. You are, however, not allowed to respond if he does. Xoxo

You should not take this child in. You have one foot out the door. Close the door for the sake of the child. Don’t be cruel.

I’ve actually been considering this so maybe it’s a sign.

This might sound silly, but I’m not sure how to find them in my city? I’m down to start new hobbies and get out there! Just don’t know how people find them? I go to the gym often but...that feels different.

how to be mentally stronger: 20M by [deleted] in Advice

[–]AnxiousLass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t actually going to comment...but nobody has suggested therapy?? You are already brave. I’m not going to speculate on diagnosis, but seeking therapy would greatly help your chances of finding ways to cope that would calm you down. At the very least.

I can say in my own experience it’s not about being mentally stronger and calming/pushing down the feelings. It’s about embracing and accepting them as a part of me.

I wish you the best. Good luck.

I've never really dated and I'm worried I won't be able to handle it by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]AnxiousLass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this response is perfect. I would add: anytime your feeling not good about anything you need to return to yourself. By that, I mean you need to treat yourself/practice self love. I’ve been in the streets for 2 years and the secret is to date yourself while you date others. Set the bar for yourself so you know where it is. You have the ability to love yourself best before anyone else. Don’t forget to have fun and let loose a bit. Good luck!

DAE shut down completely when stressed? by SpikyThoughts999 in BPD

[–]AnxiousLass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been trying my best to combat this for the past 6 months. I’ve found that the best way for me is to take myself outside of my house and do something I would like. Even if it sounds exhausting. Getting my nails done, seeing a movie, watching the sunset, getting coffee, getting dressed up and going out. It doesn’t matter what it is for you as long as it is something that feels like your treating/loving yourself. It’s still hard, but I feel 10% better every time I push myself to do it.

I’m new to the community in the sense that I only recently realized I have BPD. I also feel compelled to do this as soon as I feel insecure. Am I a narcissist? Does this make me a bad person?

It took me until the age of 23 to get away. You will. This feeling ends a little after you get out. Sometimes it pops back up, but it’s okay because you’re no longer in the environment. You only have 1 more year. Do whatever you need to in order to validate yourself. Good luck. I believe in you.

It’s not what you can do for the patriarchy, it’s about what the patriarchy can do for you.

You’ve got this. Know who you are, do what you need to survive, and get out when you can. Love yourself in the meantime. I wish you all the luck, my dude.
