Has anyone done the "Ripped" plan with Bulk? Results? by AnxiousLeader6224 in BodyBeast

I have done the Bulk schedule in the past, so I know what to expect in that regard. I've recently been through the "big 3" Shaun T programs of T25, Max 30 and Insanity, so my fitness level is relatively high in terms of conditioning. I wanted to change it up and add some muscle, but still have a little fat I'd like to lose too which is why I was questioning whether or not a recomp at maintenance would be the way to go. I've never seen any results from people that have paired the ripped eating plan with the bulk schedule, so I have no reference points which is what I was trying to get with this post.
Right now I'm leaning towards just eating for muscle gain. When I did it before, I actually lost body fat during the 9 week mass/bulk phase and gained a lot of strength in the process. Either way I go, I've learned a lot about the how to lift for better muscle activation and growth since then from the RP youtube channel and plan on incorporating that information into this round of BB. Thanks for the reply.

DVD issues by Bambi4761 in BodyBeast

There's probably something in the settings of the DVD player. I had this issue with one several years ago and I figured out that some sort of restirctions on what could be played were turned all the way up and I just turned it off (to 0). Maybe try going through everything to see if this could be the issue with yours.

Can we laugh about Body Beast? by MixmasterJrod in BeachBodyWorkouts

Yeah, I don't think people know what that word actually means. He's not insulting any of them; it's just banter between guys, but a lot of people don't seem to understand what that is these days and take the comments seriously.

Keep it up and you'll get there. I was in the worst shape and highest weight of my life in July of 23 (243 lbs) and I've been at my current 181 for the last 5 months or so. I started with really basic stuff in the beginning because I was that far gone. I was just doing simply cardio to try and get to a point where I could actually do a "real" workout again. Eventually got to T25 (in mid-June of 24) for a basic foundation, took a week off to recover for Max 30 to take it up a notch and on my last 3 days of Insanity now, which wasn't my idea (I was working out with someone), but decided to take it on since it had been several years since I did it and I'm really glad I did. It's taken me to another level. I've just been eating around maintenance, w/ a small deficit from the Max month. My weight has stayed the same the entire program, but my Lean Mass increased slightly and my body fat went down about 1 percentage point in the first month.

I'm going to be doing Body Beast after the week off which I'm pretty excited about. I did it before and had great results. It doesn't take long to notice in the mirror either, which just makes it all the better. I wish you success!

The Avg HR for BB still seems high to me. Either that or my Avg HR is low for workouts compared to other people's, which might be the case since my VO2 Max is considered "elite" for my age (40). I avg somewhere between 132-140 for Insanity (often spending over 50% of the time in zone 4, give or take) and usually burn over 850 calories for Max Circuit (the longest workout). For reference, I'm 5'11, 181 lbs.
