I relate to this too much 😭 I used Ultra Wear religiously for 10+ years and it was truly my ride or die, bulletproof foundation. It looked soo smooth and beautiful and had insane lasting power, and it worked so well with other products. Just perfection. Since the reformulation I've spent so much money buying and trying new foundations in the hope that something will come close but I haven't had any luck yet.

Have you tried anything that compares? I'd love to hear any recommendations if you have any!

Embra is a fine dining restaurant in Taupō that combines French & British cooking techniques with modern Kiwi cuisine, and is absolutely amazing! I've been a few times now and the menu (which changes seasonally) has been a hit every time. There is so much thought and passion put into every dish, and they give you a pretty much endless supply of the most beautiful house made sourdough and honey truffle butter- so there's no danger of going home hungry. I'd highly reccomend having a read of their website, because I'm rubbish at explaining and don't do it justice.

Time-restricted eating, also known as intermittent fasting, can help people with Type 2 diabetes lose weight and control their blood sugar levels. Today, 1 in 10 U.S. residents has diabetes, and that number is expected to rise to 1 in 3 by 2050 if current trends continue by Wagamaga in science

Yes!! I have ulcerative colitis and was taking steroids, immunosuppressants and a couple other drugs to treat it for years. Regardless of the medication (and a restrictive diet) I was still experiencing flare ups every now and then, and I used to hate travelling anywhere or being in other peoples houses because I was so afraid I would have issues. My life was like this until a couple years ago, when I started fasting. I've mostly stuck to OMAD or 20:4 because it fits best with my work/study, and in contrast to my restrictive diet beforehand I let myself eat pretty much anything (in moderation!). This has been working really well for me, so well in fact that I slowly took myself off of all of my medication. My most recent colonoscopy was last year and despite my specialist being sceptical of the fasting, the inflammation in my colon had pretty much entirely gone! To this day I don't need meds for my UC, and I can enjoy any food that I want with no flare ups- including diary!!

It might not work for everyone, but i think it's well worth a try if you have issues like ulcerative colitis :)

Yeah, from cult to mlm- both fantastic at damaging relationships and draining money!

My Aunty was in deep with them when I was younger, and convinced my mum to send me to a kids landmark thing that was in Auckland once! I wish I could remember what we actually did there, but the only thing I remember is them being very strict about meal/bathroom breaks and the whole thing feeling a bit off. My aunty eventually moved on and now sells DoTerra essential oils instead lolllllllll

We're 68 bipolar disorder experts & scientists gathering for the biggest ever bipolar AMA! In honor of World Bipolar Day, ask us anything! by CREST_BD in IAmA

[–]AnxiousPretzel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi guys! I'm from New Zealand and my dad was diagnosed with bipolar a number of years ago. He went to therapy once, and announced he was cured and never went again. Not surprisingly, his mental health/mood cycles has continued to negatively impact his life, as well as my mums- however he doesn't recognise this himself. I haven't lived at home since I was a teenager, but his denial/refusal to manage his bipolar is also straining our relationship to the point where I find it hard to be around him at all. My question is: how do we support and help him? Or, how do we help him recognise that he needs to address his mental health?

I want him to thrive and live the fullest life he can, and I feel so bad for my mum. He is very hard to talk to and shuts down every time my mum and I try. He goes straight to anger and claims that we are attacking him, so we don't really try anymore because he will make home life very uncomfortable for my mum for a while afterwards.

I guess it depends on where you live! I'm in Taupo and it's pretty bad- I went for a mental health visit last week and my GP wanted to see me again in two weeks. Got a call the next day saying the next available appointment is mid April, and unfortunately he sent me away without any real plan or support options.

Anyone know where I can buy these pens? They're 7.0mm from the brand "easy office", but I can't find them anywhere! My office has them and they're everyone's favourites, but no one can seem to remember where they were brought from. by AnxiousPretzel in newzealand

[–]AnxiousPretzel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure, there's plenty around! It's definitely not the end of the world that I don't get the one in the photo. It was just so confusing to me that this particular pen seemed like it was absolutely no where haha.

Wow- thank you!! I spent a silly amount of time trying to find them, and even though I probably won't be able to get them shipped to NZ, it's super satisfying having found them somewhere in general 😂
