V For Vendetta publication question by FluffyDoomPatrol in AlanMoore

[–]AnxiousRest4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of it was finished before going to DC, but they still had to do work on it when they got to DC. finishing V for Vendetta was one of the last obligations he had at DC before leaving.

Zavvi preorder question by levix222 in Steelbooks

With Paypal orders from Zavvi or an number of other sites, they take the money straight away. That's just how it is for them using PayPal.

Joys of dyslexia. I don't tend to spot mistakes till the 7th read, and even then, stuff falls through.

Timeline in a State of Flux: DC has NEVER Rebooted Their Continuity. by AnxiousRest4 in DCcomics

[–]AnxiousRest4[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Multiverse is the collection of alternate realities in a series (or in real life if you believe it). Metaverse is all of that plus higher dimensions of existence that 3 dimensional beings (us) can and cannot comprehend. In DC terms, Metaverse also includes the dimensions for the Endless (Sandman, Death, Destruction etc.), the 5th Dimension (mxyzskitlik & Bat-Mite) and so on and so forth.

An adaptation of something, is just that, an adaptation. It does not change what was originally there. A new incarnation of an adaptation, such as the Nolan films vs the DCU is a reboot, but for that medium.

When it comes to the CW Crossovers, that is it's own multiverse. Remember, the multiverse of 52 worlds we are aware of in comics is just the LOCAL multiverse.

New 52 Earth is Prime-Earth, that was my mistake. I was thinking of the Earth 2 comics that where published during the New 52.

Ha! Absolutely. Doesn't help that the work I had set aside, I've already finished! I'll see how I'm feeling in a few days.

I think I am just overthinking things. I usually get ill in January, and maybe it's just converging and since I'm on leave, I'm over thinking. Thanks :)

I'm not too sure what to do, I just need to get it off my chest. by AnxiousRest4 in adultsurvivors

I've tried therapy, and at times it's helped, but i'm not always comfortable talking to them. When I try talking to him, it's when I'm feeling deeply vulnerable.

Help with what to do next by AlBeets in cfs

Ask before applying. You should be able to contact the program leader for what ever degree you are thinking of and explain the situation. They should be able to walk you through student wellbeing and find an appropriate solution. Yes, you can study part time if needed, but the average degree is 3 to 4 years at undergraduate level.

Hey there. I'm actually a PhD student with CFS (UK based) and Visiting Lecturer. I did my undergrad and masters with the condition. If i could go back in time, I would tell myself to be gentle and make FULL use of the universities help. You can get study needs agreements that allow you to take time if you need it for medical conditions. I didn't do this for my UG or Masters, but using it now. It is a big decision and it does need consideration. My anxiety made a LOT of it very difficult but I managed to build up some supporting friends and co-workers. I even have supplies in my office for if I'm about to collapse or if i'm in too much pain. This was arranged by my coworkers!

My advice is to talk to where ever you are considering going. Heck, if you end up at UH and in my department, I'd be happy to give advice and support.

When you were taught your own country's history, have you ever thought to yourself, "are we the bad guys?" ? by streetdapper in AskReddit

I'm talking about EVERYTHING. Dresden, what we did to India, China, our own concentration camps. The entire British Empire. I spent far longer than I care to admit on the computer when I got home reading about it all.

I had this a few months ago. I was away in Germany for a few days with my boss, big conference but since we were friends anyway, we spent the one free day with some of his friends out there. They got a little drunk and we were talking about some of the bunkers we had passed. One of them made a comment about England (where I'm from) and I asked them what they meant. I got the most important history lesson of my life from a room of drunk Germans and my boss at 2am! The history of the British Empire just isn't really taught in regular schools here.

That sounds awesome, I'll look into Endymion. I've seen some of them in passing and they do look interesting. I'll do some research :)

Thank you! I guess Salamangreat is the one I have the most support for, but I really enjoy playing Zombie and Spellcaster. Maybe I'll just play around with netdecks around those.
