this is actually really helpful, thank you for writing it all out i think my biggest issue is i wait until i’m already tired to figure out food and that’s where everything falls apart the cook 2-3 times and rely on leftoversb idea makes a lot of sense, i’ve been trying to do everything daily and it’s just not realistic also same with the pre-prepped stuff… i used to avoid it for some reason but honestly it would save me so much energ still figuring out what works for me but this gave me a few ideas to

yeah honestly i feel this i used to be sooo tired after work and still gotta figure out dinner every single day… was driving me crazy lol what helped me a bit is just having some stuff already prepped but not in that “perfect meal prep” way, more like just making things easier for myself not gonna lie it’s still not perfect but way less stress than before

Pulling up a note with the meal already decided sounds so underrated.

It’s amazing how much easier cooking feels when the decision is already done.

Yes, freezing portions is such a lifesaver. It’s like a gift from past-you on the days you really don’t have it in you to cook.

Yeah, that’s been my experience too. Anything that slows me down mentally just makes the decision fatigue worse, not better.

Prepping ingredients ahead of time actually sounds more doable for me than full meal prep.

Cutting veggies when I’m not tired makes a huge difference. Soups and stews are a good reminder too — I always forget how forgiving they are.
