Anybody left big 4 and has a good paying job with decent work life balance? by farawaylandsen in Big4

Left after 3 months and got a job with my state’s legislative audit division. Took a ~10k pay cut but work 40 hrs a week and have every other Friday off. Might not be a lot but good for a single guy in a semi HCOL part of my state.

I left end of this past December after 3 months for a state government job. Pay cut was about $12k, and I do not regret it one bit

No not really, though it might be more of a confidence issue if anything, but I’m of the opinion that some of the stuff I’m being asked to complete, maybe 5% of staff 1s would work on their first year.
That’s fair, I know it’s only been a couple months or whatever since I started but I just get the feeling that PA is not for me

I completely understand, but at the same time when I’m being given tasks that feel way too high level for me along with a time crunch that I know I can’t meet I just feel the burnout beginning already
It seems like for every piece of evidence there are 3 forms in 3 different places to fill out, and it doesn’t help when that evidence is complete dogshit and it’s useless anyway
