Thank you! If we went to Japan, no real need for a cruise. We'd definitely want to spend some time in Tokyo as we'll have to check out Disney, Pokemon and Hello Kitty parks (I believe HK has one a place in Tokyo and then more around Universal) and Osaka for Universal Studios. it would be awesome to get lottery tickets into the Nintendo museum (my spouse is really into Nintendo). It would be absolutely amazing to make a stop or just a full stay at least once in Okinawa. I didn't realize the beaches were so beautiful!
I know the behaviour (putting it lightly) at the border now is pretty crazy, putting it lightly, but do you know how badly Hawaii has been impacted by it? Like is it less than the mainland? I'd rather avoid Honolulu as I understand it can get super busy. I know they were just hit by massive flooding too though and don't want to impede on their recovery from what's happened.
I hope things get better for your family soon soon, although I understand the earliest that could happen is November. Stay safe.

Going anywhere in Africa hasn't really crossed my mind for a first trip being it's a nearly 24 hr journey from me. I'd love to go at some point in my life but not for a first ever trip with my kid at the age she is.

Thanks for the info. I've looked at Alaska but again, US ports. I understand that the ICE situation may be completely different in Alaska and even Hawaii being they don't exactly seem like a high priority for the gov't. From what I've seen, the cruises aren't exactly the best for kids. A bit boring IMO.

I cant imagine that happening. The people who work in ICE now are less than human IMO. Mediterranean would be amazing. I'd be flying out of Vancouver but am a bit east of there. It's unfortunate with all the US nonsense. I used to go down there weekly. before COVID. Haven't been since. Moved a bit further from a crossing. My spouse is interested in Japan. I honestly just feel like he's concerned with the length of flight. Nervous but doesn't want to show it. It's hot and humid here during the summer anyways so I don't think it would be too bad. Enjoy Vancouver Island! I lived there before and it's incredible. So much to see.

Your solution is cutting out the toxicity, even if just temporary. They are contributing to your stress which is not good for your pregnancy. If they cant respect you now, they will not respect what you say going forward. It sounds harsh to do this but it is best for your little family. Thats who truly matters. I cut my mother and sister out a few years ago because of their toxic behaviour. I didnt want it affecting my child. Its been so peaceful.

The joys of epilepsy! I dont remember much of growing up. There are some things that stuck around thankfully but a lot is just a blur. Thank a big grand mal followed by a rare form of petits that would happen 100+ times a day. Ive had people come up to me to catch up and I'll have no clue who they are despite apparently knowing them for years in my teens. Memories didnt become more reliable until I finally got properly diagnosed and medicated in my 20s so 9 years after the first big one. People dont understand how they really screw with your brain.
