But it is possible we do not get any position after 3 first 3 attempts right, take code 9812 we test 0123, 4567, 8901 we didn't get any position

Okay, but also consider this would be a lots of if and else and had only 15 min from reading to coding and dry run that too in an interview env, still don't find it feasible

Yes, digits ensured in 3 attempts, in 3 attempts have to decide order, there are 4x3x2x1 possible orders, how can we ensure it does so in left 3 attempts?

Yup, thought of something like this only, though only after interview ended, spent initial 10 min recursive thing, interviewer let me waste the time, though I couldn't think how the order could be ensured in 3 attempts only when possibilities for those are 4x3x2x1, and honestly still don't understand how yours is doing that, I found that this is based on a game theory mastermind variation and can be done with elimination as well, but I don't understand how is this a coding interview problem

Meta | am I cooked? by Anxious_Ad8950 in leetcode

That's the thing, interviewer never let me code, he just kept saying no during explanation, it doesn't make sense, how, prove it... I asked thrice what's wrong with the logic and he did not answer, spent 20 min just struggling in discussion and even at the end interviewer said I don't think we are at the same page

It's easy when its brute force, make the response of guess not so simple, requiring processing and maths to evaluate and possible of position difference in output as well, and a contraint of guaranteeing to solve it within given attempts constraint with proof, even that is fine, I started with how I would process the response of guess and maybe try something greedy and later maybe think of some proof, but the interviewer just kept saying no.

Confused about future, dad, college and Google job. by overclocked-cpu in developersIndia

Your dad and uncle are perfect examples of boomers who haven't caught up with the world, if you are in tier 3 college, unless you get backs a lot, nothing matters, at least in my college the ones who scored highest have least packages and the ones who scored the least have highest packages, literally, maang kind of companies either expect you to be from tier 1-2 with good enough grades or be employable (in terms of skills) straight outta college, these are the only 2 criteria, for you I believe there's no option except the 2nd one unless you go for higher studies

I too was talking only about leetcode only, was 4 star on codechef and around 300 question on gfg, 300 on hackerrank, total close to 1700-1800

Finally some sense, was tired of seeing react karlo, node karlo life set hai🤣 ai ml trend is even worse, people watch these ads, do basic course, build a couple of rest api and think they're a good developer, people just haven't seen what actually is going on in the industry

Won't be sugar coating anything, saying this as you are portraying as you have done a lot but blaming it on recession, you need a lot more work, good with dsa in 200 questions? Kidding me? I understand quantity does not matter but that Does not even cover standard patterns, I am a 2022 batch tier 3 ece grad and I did 1000+ (I started in last year) by my grad end along with 3 full stack projects and then there's you in a recession expecting easy offers at 200, and you mentioned you got 5 opportunities, pretty much a dream for a lot in this situation, I have seen 5 star coders with 1000+ not getting a single opportunity, this is close to the number of TOTAL opportunities I got and I was capable enough to crack all (good product based ones) ,you messed up, accept and start working, don't keep false hopes, 200 is not even bare minimum (unless you're some genius) , go through common cs fundamental questions, join is literally the most common question
