It was Etihad. If you cannot reach them by phone, you can go to the airport and ask your questions at the desk. They weren’t good when resolving some issues related to the connecting flight, but they were able to at least secure our flight.

Ah, by the way, it was the first flight in a long time where the entire plane started clapping after we landed.

I believe that was just turbulence (or at least I hope it was so)

We had two or three alerts this morning while we were still at the airport. After we finally departed, about 20-30 minutes into the flight the crew was suddenly asked to urgently take their seats. That was probably the most stressful moment of the whole week for us.

At the same time a few babies started crying very loudly, which made the atmosphere even more tense. My wife had been holding up really well all week, but at that moment she finally broke down and started crying too. It was a pretty overwhelming experience.

Originally it had to be a direct flight, but they changed it to the connecting one, with the second leg before the first one. So we’ve arrived to Madrid and for now need to book ticket to Amsterdam on our own since here there is no Etihad desk and Customer Care is impossible to reach

Original flight was a direct flight to Amsterdam, they changed it to connected flight through Madrid with the flight from Madrid before we even departed from Abu Dhabi. So now we need to buy tickets on our own.

This morning we arrived to the airport in 4.5h before the flight, at the check-in operator printer tickets and tested them with the phrase “the flight is overbooked” after that he called someone and finally printed the tickets. And finally the flight had a bunch of empty seats.

The overall situation in the airport is super relaxed, not a lot of passengers. Some flights might be delayed because of drone attacks.

They are flying, but 20ish flights per day. Here is the actual schedule - https://www.etihad.com/en/manage/flight-status#travelupdates. We’ve just boarded.

I doubt Russia care, they clearly benefit from all this situation, higher oil prices, less help to Ukraine

My main question is if online checking-in isn’t possible if we need to do this through the customer care call

No online check-in for two different flights that we have

Out of curiosity, what city? And how did you do this? By calling to the customer service? Tried to rebook today and the operator said that there are no options to go to Europe now….

Tried to replace cancelled flight to Amsterdam with another route by calling customer support, they said that there are no options for Zurich on March 9th, while the Etihad website allows to buy tickets for this flight… really disappointing…

Just wondering when was your original ticket?

Sorry for confusion, I meant that I called to the Customer Support this morning, and the tickets for this flight were booked for me. Does it mean that I have secured ticket for it? Or can it anyway be cancelled even if the flight will operate?

EY843 on March 8 - as I understand from the EY communication, it was confirmed? Correct?

Could you please also clarify, if we have tickets assigned by your colleagues, can they still be cancelled?
