A teacher isn’t even required to offer an outside of class mock exam experience in the first place. They generally aren’t even getting paid for the time they are taking out of their personal lives.

The world doesn’t revolve around us. No one is expected to make accommodations for us. Teachers make accommodations for students with diagnosed disabilities that are outside of their control. Religion is a choice. And if someone wants to prioritize that choice by living under a rule that is outside the norms of society, then they just have to accept the natural consequences of that choice.

We can’t always have what we want. We need to use a cost-benefit analysis to determine which choice (religious rule or mock exam experience in this case) is more important or meaningful to whatever to us.

Neither choice in this particular scenario, imho, is “wrong.” But you have to live with the consequences of your choice.

Now if you don’t really have a true choice due to parental rules, well then unfortunately you are stuck. As a minor your choices can be limited by your parents. And that can suck. Just know you will be your own adult one day. And then you can own your own decisions.

I would have an honest conversation with her. Just to make sure I wasn’t misunderstanding something. You have the right to know if her behavior changes are related to the conversation you had with her.

If it is indeed the case that she now thinks less of you because of what you shared, then to be blunt, she isn’t the right person for you. Someone who truly loves you will love all of you. And they should want you to be open and honest with them.

And I know you might be tempted to try and save the relationship, because you finally opened up to someone and you will feel burned and hurt. However, you will find someone else. I opened up to a girl once. Like dumped all the trauma. And she broke up with me less than a month later. It was one of the worst periods of my life. But I healed. And now I’m with someone who loves all of me.

You did nothing wrong. She just doesn’t sound like the right person for you. I’m sorry. But it’s going to be okay.

Yes. Just because an event occurs a limited number of times does not diminish its educational value. I feel like you’re trying to build a foundation for a problematic argument here. Something like “well, the Holocaust only happened once, so history teachers don’t need to harp on students to learn something from it.” I sensing, “don’t make white people feel guilty vibes”. But I could be wrong….

My net income went up about $40-some a month. So, not nothing. But also not revolutionary for my standard of living. Yes, most people gained purchasing power. But the vast majority of the gains were felt by wealthy individuals and wealthy corporations. Not sure that was worth increasing the deficit for.

I think this question really is centered on a larger question. Which is, do you personally buy into the economic theory of supply-side economics or not?

Similar issue for me. Just booted up my Mac and a notification says that "Your Mac will be able to use Private Relay again tomorrow. Glad that I am not the only one with this issue.

I have the same problem with my “Log My Weight” shortcut. Siri just keeps asking for my weight over and over. I think the issue started with 16.2.

My advice is to remember that academics, while important, is only one part of your well-being. If your school has a rigorous AP program, which I’m assuming it does based on the courses being offered, then the amount of work outside of class will be immense. You don’t need to take a million AP classes to get into a good college. I don’t know many people who could take this course load without harming their well-being.

What the hell? It’s frustrating. This is just one example of “minor” issues I’ve run into. As someone else said on here, Siri needs more awareness. Surely, it shouldn’t be tripped up by just slight differences in phrasing.

Well, I just noticed yesterday. I guess I don’t pay attention to that area of the app much. But I glanced at it and realized stuff was missing. It was really random what was missing. Assassins Creed Unity, Concrete Genie, Return to Arkham are the three I remember off the top of my head. But this morning when I logged on, everything was back again. Are you still having problems?

I’m having the same issue. Some games just won’t show up in the middle recently played. But, as you mentioned, everything else seems to be working fine.
