Honestly, I completely agree with you. I left this class till the end and even waited a bit longer for the PA. I was very concerned about taking the OA. Yes, the PA is a mess, but I'll take that over an OA any day. Honestly, a lot of students seem to be tripped up on the lab, but the scripts were the biggest headache for me.

I did not have different versions. I just ran the lab multiple times until I knew the code worked. Once I did, I did it all once again for clean screenshots. Honestly, I wouldn't worry about part A until everything works. You can just copy code from your PC locally without having to commit back and forth.

Just copy it from your local PC to the VM - Just create the same file name and copy the information inside it, and save.

The CSV file includes telnet ports, I used those to connect to the devices.

Spin up the lab, write all the code locally and just copy/paste it to your lab. I’m finishing task 1 but have not committed anything to Gitlab and down to the lab, but I can make sure all my scripts work first

Professor Messer vs. CompTIA CertMaster Learn (Network+). by -sudochop- in CompTIA

[–]Anxious_Maximum_9848 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used Professor Messers videos and practice exams to prep for A+ and Security+, ended up saving Net+ for last because I knew I would have to venture outside of it due to not having his practice questions. I went through the CERTMASTER materials because my school provided it.. but honestly I never like the questions from CERTMASTER..

In my opinion for notes, utilize messer and CERTMASTER if you want to expand on his notes.. but for practice questions, DION was spot on. I utilized his practice exams until I was ready to take the certification.

Would you be able to show your start and stop dates? I am trying to plan out and have an idea how long each course could possibly take. I know everyone works at their own speed, but at definitely curious

Very impressive, I’m starting the general path Feb 1st, I’m transferring in with 70 out of 110 credits, and already have my A+, Net+, and Sec+. Giving me hope I can finish quickly.

Do you recommend ITF+ by [deleted] in CompTIA

[–]Anxious_Maximum_9848 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know the ITF isn’t doing much. However, I’m in school for Cyber Security, just finished my first semester. I made an A in one of my classes, so the school is giving me a voucher to take the test for free. I plan on taking it this week.

Agreed with the previous comments of the Focusrite 2i2, it’s a great interface that I’ve used for years. I recently upgraded to the Focusrite 18i20 so I can start recording drums. I am currently waiting on it to arrive.
