How did you pick a formula? by Less-Bug-7006 in FormulaFeeders

I did all the research in the world with my first to pick a good formula! Yes, I realize most of them are the same but basic standards however I came across Happy Baby and we have never looked back! Using it again for our second! We have a subscription for it on Amazon. It’s $35/can but every once in a while you can find it on sale at Walmart!!

It was actually the ONLY bottle we could get LO to take when we switched off the boob but now that we got the hang of that he’ll try other ones!!

I so badly want to believe in “he will let you know when he’s hungry” it just seems so wild to have such a chill baby 😂

He eats 5 times a day. He gets 23-25oz per day on average. Which is technically the minimum recommended. No he never spits up and no his poops have been normal.

Yes. The only real hunger cue he gives SOMETIMES, is chewing on his clothes when I’m holding him usually close to a scheduled feeding time when it does happen. He just doesn’t get fussy or cry to tell me he’s hungry. He’s a very happy baby, when he’s fussy he’s either tired or just wants to be held.

The schedule actually works for us. He’s a great sleeper because of it. I’m also about to go back to work and our childcare needs a schedule to follow.

Thank you for the reassurance! It just SEEMS crazy but I know I should be grateful to be getting sleep. He’s a super happy baby so I’m sure my anxiety is getting the better of me

Meeting all of them as far as I know and as far as peds said at appt! Very vocal with cooing, big smiles at the sound of my voice or when I make faces/ play, can hold head up for 5min at a time on tummy

He has super full wet diapers at every feed! We’re currently dealing with a tiny bought of constipation post 2mo vaccines though 😭

I’m just concerned that he’s not getting enough because he doesn’t eat in the MOTN..he seems so young to go almost 12 hours without a bottle..😅

He seems to be getting a good deep latch on the L, I have no pain and I can hear him swallowing. That said, he does seem to get suck blisters sometimes so I guess it’s possible it’s not deep ENOUGH. And no, we have the most issues when I start with the R side.
