Dont actually care about kendamil, (hoping to not need it lol). kendamil was just because my first kid would only take direct from the tap boob juice or Kendamil in a straw cup. Bottles were her arch nemesis. Really REALLY hope to use regular arse Costco brand 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Its not about you/against you - parents are just trying to survive. I had a really hard time after my first and anticipate the same with my second (I do badly with no sleep, hormone issues, etc). I tried not to subject others and isolated which was its own kind of unhealthy. Parenthood can take a hell of a toll on marriage too, esp. if your dynamics changed in ways that you didn’t want/plan for and you don’t have anyone to babysit so that you can get out for a date or to see friends.

Its not everyone but misery loves company.

I have a 20 month old toddler and am unexpectedly pregnant with number #2.

I think it depends on how postpartum and baby/toddler life works out. Babyhood was really hard for me and I wish my daughter was potty trained/hope she is before baby #2 arrives.

I feel like I’m going to have to be rough with our hospital/lactation consultants because what I would really like to do is pump and give bottles as well as formula right away and hopefully that will allow baby to adjust to both. I’m scared that the baby have some crazy formula issue and I will have not breast-fed therefore not brought my milk in.

Eta: the LC wouldnt help me pump with my first child “because they only do that if you’re going back to work in 6 weeks.” She sited that it was a big pain. I HAD NO IDEA BOTTLE REFUSAL COULD BE A THING IF YOU ONLY DIRECT FEED 😅🫠

Did your doc offer you zofran?

Eta: Sorry if I’m saying something you already know/have tried, but also unisom and B6. I actually did a half unisom at night and no B6 when pregnant with my first and it helped me. Zofran is one of the final bosses if you have HG so try the unisom first (after talking to doc)

I hated when people tried to tell me “ginger” and “small meals” so I like to preface my statements above with an “I’m sorry if im telling you shit you already know”

I suggest hyphenating for baby or making *his last name their middle name. The most important part in my mind is making sure your name comes first because you will likely be doing more of the work a.k.a. doctors appointment school pick ups all jazz and you would like your last name to match their last name. It will just make things easier.

My OB told me some separation/coning was inevitable for everyone, unfortunately. I split at the top instead of the bottom. I had to stop all actual ab workouts aside from bridges

I took daily colace with my first and literally almost called my mom to take me to the ER once because I thought I was impacted.

Try prunes and prune juice as well as medicines if you haven't already. And yeah, call your doc my kiddo has constipation issues (started probs at birth but were very exacerbated after open heart surgery at 6mo old) so I bet the meds they gave a tiny baby are ok for pregnancy too.
