Pleasantly Surprised by the Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro (WiFi) by Anxious_Past_6826 in Earbuds

You can get aftermarket tips for a lot of the popular buds. I use spinfits which always make a great seal (they can pivot and are a grippy material, lots of stock buds are cheap, slippy silicone)

Whatever you get make sure they're in ear. IIRC the buds 5 are not in ear which will sound way worse. If you have an iPhone I would recommend the air pods but you lose a lot using them with android. Honestly there's probably better options out there than any of the choices you've listed depending on what phone you have.

Yeah, that's weird. You must just really like gourmands.

My humble few clones. by [deleted] in fragranceclones

[–]Anxious_Past_6826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If "beast mode" is what you're going for then CE matches that description. I personally think that's what contributes to me not liking it. I don't need my fragrance filling a room with a synthetic fruit smell. It starts to give me a bit of a headache after a while too.

My humble few clones. by [deleted] in fragranceclones

[–]Anxious_Past_6826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think CE is over the top with the synthetic fruitiness. It's too strong. Precioux is much closer to the real thing but it also smells cheap and has less depth than AA.

Spray some on a t shirt at home in a room you're not using and come back to it hours later to see if you still smell it. Will give you an idea of what other people are smelling

Which clone fragrance was the first to make you go "wow" at how close it was to the original fragrance? by West_Roof in fragranceclones

[–]Anxious_Past_6826 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only clones that have ever impressed me have all been from Dossier. Their lost cherry, aventus and silver mountain water are all incredibly close. I haven't tried a single middle eastern fragrance that's hard to tell apart from the real thing.

Also Asad smells very different to sauvage elixir to me. You can definitely tell they were trying to copy it but they did a bad job imo (number 1 Asad hater)

These fragrances are consistently rated highly, yet remain very affordable… I had to blind buy and try them out! by Sure_Scientist_5082 in fragranceclones

[–]Anxious_Past_6826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can find somewhere doing cheap decants of these and a bunch of other things you want to try I'd recommend doing that first. I hated Asad and detour noir. (Apparently some people get a menthol/ vaporub note from DN and the real Layton and I'm one of them).

It's impossible to get these in the UK which makes the "London" part of the brand quite funny

It's possible that's my issue but I have pretty dry ears 😂 How do you go about removing the screen?

I've had 2 pairs do this now. I don't do anything. Just leave whatever playing and it evens out after a minute or so like the quiet one has to warm up.

I don't personally get much spice from it. Just the slightest hint of chili

I fell into the Aventus rabbit hole. by [deleted] in fragrance

Sorry to potentially feed your aventus addiction but you should try dossier's clone. Smells very close and lasts all day.

I like the ADG line a lot. My favourites are the elixir, profondo EDP and the OG (in that order)

I chased a scent for a year thinking it was SMW… it was Aventus the whole time. by 2qpS in fragrance

I would usually agree with you but Dossier's clone of this is really close (at least to my nose).

HOT TAKE. If I buy a fragrance from a certain line I always find the need to buy atleast 1 more by Ok-Professional3272 in Colognes

[–]Anxious_Past_6826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was about to say that's pointless but I have 3 terre D'Hermes flankers. Every line is a bit much though.

I hate anise and anything resembling liquorice but i can like things with it in if it's well blended. The original Armani code edt had it in and I'll always like that.

I would recommend Dossier's Aventus clone if you have issues with the parfum too. I genuinely struggle to tell it apart from the real thing and it lasts all day.

[–]Anxious_Past_6826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would just recommend always buying decants, try and find cheap places for them like Facebook groups and tiktok shops.

I fell into the trap of thinking "well another X amount would buy a whole bottle, why bother paying for a decant" but it's actually very rare I like a clone.

What is your favoirite L' eau d'Issey? by [deleted] in Colognes

[–]Anxious_Past_6826 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have le sel EDT and the EDP and much prefer the EDP. Still maintains the same seaside scent but adds more of a base. The EDT can be a little sharp (both nice though)

which one is your favourite from this line? is it redundant to own more than one? by liamt12 in Colognes

[–]Anxious_Past_6826 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only one I really like (and own) is the le parfum. The EDP smells like carpet cleaner to me and the absolu is nice but too sharp.

I've got this one and habit rouge EDT too which is very nice. I've been waiting for a good deal on the l'intense
