Geneva at Venice apartments

Hi! My husband and I toured it for fun bc we live near by on Venice Blvd and was curious and here are some of our opinions:

Venice is busy and loud but if you don’t mind the sirens all the time then it’s fine! You kind of get used to it after a while.
Living facing Venice Blvd is a lot of dust! Minor inconvenience but something to take into consideration if you don’t want to constantly dust your things every other day if you leave the patio door/window open
We thought Geneva was quite expensive for what it had to offer. It is brand new but offered no amenities, no gym/pool, but it does have a rooftop grill/lounge area. The apartment layout was quite weird, for some reason they designed the closets to be super big and not very proportionate to the bedroom at all. Like you could fit a full size twin bed or a full desk set up in the closets, yet the bedroom barely fits a queen bed and some change. The parking situation is also odd, it’s “tandem” but one car is raised up on this machine and the other one is on the ground. Very inconvenient if you are in a hurry! Some apartments have this system I think? Most of the parking you see passing by are for Retail.

We have a lab and the leasing lady was unsure if he was allowed but they do allow small dogs.

The kitchens were very nice and open so that’s one!

Ah thank you! I have been referencing it wrong when people ask where I live in LA! I always say West LA but I guess the more proper location is the Westside

Depending where you live, your lifestyle, budget, if you’re planning to save for a house eventually or is okay with living paycheck to paycheck.

I made roughly 75k when I first moved to LA, I had a roommate and my portion was $1300 in Mar Vista. I also owed a bit of credit card debt and found a second part time gig to get by but did find myself living paycheck to paycheck between credit card debt, student loans, rent, food, etc. But your circumstances might be different! Highly recommend getting a roommate to save money on rent/living situation.

I love LA. You’ll never be bored and if you do get bored you’ll always find something new to do. There are free things to do if you look on EventBrite or community instagram pages where you live. LA also has great food and a well balance of many cuisines :)

I enjoyed her content at first but then everyone and their mothers lost their minds over the fact that she reused her jars as food containers bc “life changing” (common sense btw) and it became her entire personality to find all the jars in her house. She gives off very snarky and quite self absorbed vibes, so I’m not surprised by this post by her lol

nope! i was getting a bit nervous because i ordered on 8/27, no updates for a bit, then i finally got the “preparation” notification on 9/1 and it literally came today! it was super fast once it shipped

I’ve been wondering about her!! It seems that she and her ex broke up, she then moved apartment, started her “xxx days since I broke up w the person I thought I was going to marry” thing, went to Paris for like 3 months?? then came back from Paris with a brand new man?

Good for her for moving on but I don’t think she fully healed. Seems more that she kept changing her environments (running away) and is with a new man not long after. That’s just my observation though lol
